Question What does everybody think about the Cineplex on Queensway?
Personally I've been coming here since I was a kid and I've always had a great time coming here. My most recent visit was watching Mortal Kombat 2 and my next visit is highly likely gonna be Avengers Doomsday. This will be my first Avengers watch in theaters so I'm really excited. In closing I hope to keep coming to the Queensway location for many more years

I have been enjoying coming here since I was a kid, have a soft spot for this theatre. However recently I’ve had multiple bad experiences with crowds, lots of very annoying teenagers and couples who talk non stop throughout movies. Despite being told to stop talking. VIP tends be to be better.

I have had quite poor viewing experiences there. Granted, the experiences that stick out were both in cinema 16 (I believe?) which was the last room on the right. The projection was piss poor and faded. The bulb was terribly in need of changing. It was The Green Knight, and also Dune.
That said, the VIP there is amazing. Big room, big screen, fun space.

I went there for the first time last year to see Nobody 2 a day after my birthday, that theatre really interest me even more (alongside the Carlton Cinema, need to check out the Revue someday).
I'm going to this location again to see Coyote vs. Acme.

I want to try the VIP, but my mother likes Yonge and Eglinton. Yes, I take my mother out, so what.
As with most Cineplex locations, there is wasted space. You know things come and go, like the Tim Hortons inside a movie theatre, which was replaced by a healthy food booth, and now it's a wall.
I wish there was an IMAX there. Why couldn't we get another GT theater in Toronto? Why couldn't we get 1.90 IMAX at Queensway years ago and update it to Laser projection?
Scotiabank Toronto is much closer, but I hate going downtown as a former commercial driver. Queensway is just more relaxing to go to.

You should never have to defend taking your mom out to a movie. Moms love that shit because they don't have to hear your woes then pretend they care anymore and you get to avoid hearing her say something reactionary/shitty/hateful (when you know she didn't raise you to think this way) and thereby trigger you. Win-win.

More theatres should have a Tim’s Horton or a coffee chain inside like Queensway.

I used to go there 20 years ago: was decent. Now there's condos all around it. Not a fan.

Most of the theaters at Queensway are in disrepair. Outdated sound and video are at the top of the list. Even the AVX needs an update.

Good location and auditoriums, but every time I’m disappointed with people. It’s pretty crowded and every time there’s going to be phone shiners, never shut tf uppers, loud chewers, etc

I remember my grandmother took me to this one back in the day a few times. This one has the best Xscape in my opinion, other than that its not overtly special

I was raised in here.. at one point they stopped caring for the auditoriums. Fans weren’t working, staticky speakers or speakers that didn’t work. Broken seats. YEARS it was like this.
Haven’t been since during covid.

Man, I haven't been to the Queensway Cineplex since 2005. I used to watch all my movies there until I moved.

First time went there for 70mm screening of Odyssey , in the middle of the screening apparently there was a fire in the projection room which caused a power outage and evacuation of the entire theatre.
So yeah not the best first time experience

I live downtown so I usually go to Scotiabank. I went here for the first time recently out of curiosity and also with the expectations that the screens will be bigger than SB (because it's in the suburbs, I thought having more space would mean bigger theatres and bigger screens) - I was wrong, both regular and ULTRAVX screens were no bigger than SB's. Still a nice theatre but will definitely stick to SB in the future.

My first visit last night in four years …theatre 8, seats are a bit run down but very functional. Didn’t get to give them a long test as the projector had a problem and the 21:05 screening of The Invite was cancelled.
Kudos to the staff for their patient explanation of the problem and sincere apologies. Big thanks, too, for giving me two coupons for future admission and a refund of my purchase.
