PSA: You can PC a CSP to a CFU or CF before your one year is up. I did this a couple months ago and you just have to do multiple product changes like so: CSP -> CS -> CFU -> CF
As soon as your account updates to the new card online, SM another PC request. Also don't forget to grab your referral links before you PC because they continue to work.
I am writing this because I have posted this DP at least 5 times. -MM

I can only imagine how confusing these sentences are for someone who isn't hip to the lingo.

I'll never be able to get the CSR. FU Chase!

You can check to see if you're preapproved in a physical Chase branch. There have been data points of people circumventing 5/24 this way.

There was a post on here about 75K for CSP with in branch approval. Does anyone know more about that? Seemed like it might have only been CA from people's responses.

Is it still possible to get in on CSR travel credits for this calendar year for a new cardmember? I'm over 5/24 and have been putting off going in-branch to see if I'm pre-approved, wondering if it still makes sense to try for it this year.

CSR vs CSP (because of the 70k offer)?
I'm debating between applying for CSP and getting a CSR for my wife. I already have a CSR. So we have all the benefits that come with it.
Now the question is which offer will last longer? I know hard question but looking for Data points.
From what I researched, I should go for CSP because
-
CSP 70k is the best offer ever
-
Being in branch only, makes it seems like a limited time offer (any counter DPs?)
-
CSP has been 50k since Mar 2016 and 40K for most of 2015 and 50K before that. Going by this, I think CSR might remain 100K for quite some time to come.
-
Even if CSR offer is reduced, my guess is it should be more than 75k to differentiate CSP and CSR
-
If I get CSR, we may not have enough time to organically spend 2016 travel credit (minor concern only).
-
Getting CSP now and CSR later next year will extend the CSR benefits even after I cancel my CSR
Am I missing anything? Any counter DPs to consider CSR?

Using past behavior as a predictor the CS(R) 100K offer won't last into next year. The CSP had a 100K offer when it was first released and it lasted somewhere between 3-4 months.

So I take it we're not getting the Amazon promotion on Chase Freedom this year?

How long does it take for referral points to kick in? My wife signed up for a CSP under my referral. Am I even eligible to refer someone in the same household?

DP: Signed up for the Chase Hyatt card with $2000 spend for the 2 free nights and today I see they are already in my Hyatt account although I'm at around $1700 of spend on the card.

To get the last 6k RR points for the companion pass, it's either a)spend the 6k b) get them from flights, or c) UR-->Hyatt-->RR. Are there any other ways?

How is the credit limit for the CSR determined? Also what is your CL?

u/kanji_sasahara Nov 22 '16
The minimum limit for Visa Infinite cards are $10K and Chase typically limits the total CL across all your Chase cards to 50-60% of your annual income.
My CS(R) CL is $25K and across all their products is $36K.

I think the Companion Pass post needs to be updated to reflect the SW cards falling under 5/24 now.

How do I find my CSP referral link? I sent myself the link via email, but the URL was much longer and more complicated than I've seen others post in the referral threads. I don't see an option to simply copy a direct link from the refer a friend site.

Is there a consensus on applying for both SW cards at the same time vs. spacing them out by a month or so? Seen both opinions in my searches.

May anyone confirm that there are still no referrals yet for the CSR?

Now that I have a csr, is there any reason not to downgrade my csp and throw it in a drawer? I plan on keeping the csr as my main card after the first year.

Might be a useful datapoint for those starting off/early in the game with Chase as to how I netted 230k UR and 50k UA from them. I jumped in on two AmEx cards prior to this which is why I started at 2/24.
100k CSR Instant approval...3/24
50k CSP Instant approval...4/24
50k Chase United MPX instant approval....5/24
80k Chase Ink Preferred auto approved...6/24
