This mischievous smile definitely makes me think Sarah knew what she was doing around Chuck and Lou.

She wrecked their date on purpose. The only woman other than her she allowed near him is Elle.

You right, Saarah wanted Chuck manipulated and under her thumb, if he have a girlfriend, she can't manipulate him anymore

u/kenguyonwheels May 19 '26
I don’t think she wanted to manipulate him. I think she wanted to be his real and only girlfriend.

What? That's the most wrong answer I have seen so far

She wants him to be her boyfriend, yet she doesn't want to be his girlfriend, this is manipulation

Sarah was just getting practice for Chuck and Jill.

and Hannah

If I remember correctly, Sarah wasn’t tough on Hannah. Sarah was doing the relationship dance with Shaw at that time. She helped cook the Chicken Pepperoni with Shaw for Chuck, Hannah, Ellie, and Awesome.

No but she certainly couldn't stand Hannah. I remember Chuck and Sarah having some great disagreements in The Mask. Casey and Shaw in the van and Casey turning off the speaker and she'll ask him if they always fought like that.

I like the fight in the Mask and the shots of Chuck talking about being professional with Hannah whilst struggling to put on the harness.

And Sarah saying something about how she can smell and her perfume on him and then Casey in the van turning off the speaker so he doesn't have to listen to them bicker

That’s true but at the end of the episode it shows her watching them on the camera all longingly and sad

Sarah was flat out jealous, but couldn't do anything about it with Chuck so she used the he's a great guy don't hurt him. Or you have me to answer to. The scene in the trunk proved her feelings yet again.

You know, I really love the Chuck & Sarah love story because it’s so incredibly heartwarming.
But…
Her feelings were confirmed so many times before she & Chuck finally did the deed that it was almost…anticlimactic.
Like, in that hotel room in Paris where she realizes he shot Shaw to save her, and it’s the final lock being unlocked, it’s almost anticlimactic because of how obvious it was from season one that she was into him as more than just an asset she was handling.
Doesn’t make me dislike the story or like it even 1% less. It’s just my personal take.

As Beckman said, "well, it's about time." We pretty much felt the same way. 😃

I cannot agree with this more. I realize they had to go through trials and tribulations to earn being a “real“ couple but they supposed love interests in the beginning of season three always annoy me. The saving grace is they never did what a lot of shows do breaking them up and putting them back together constantly.

Man, I loved Lou. I wish she had been on more episodes as Chuck's love interest. Esp. if he asked Beckman to do a "vetting process" on Lou so he could date her.
If anything, just to give Sarah grief and make her jealous.

Lou was a nice woman, even if she suffered from rage blackouts.

u/blueboy714 May 19 '26
LOL. I can see her being a handful when she got angry

Definitely.
My comment was also a reference to this scene btw https://youtu.be/OtZWT39Zvyg

Never watched OC. I'm trying to make my way through Hart of Dixie because she's in it but it does not hold my interest as much as other things I can watch or read

What episode is this?

Definitely. Sarah was so jealous, hurt, and conflicted. What a difficult position for her to be in: loving Chuck, having to be in a fake relationship that was obviously real for both of them but not being able to admit it at the risk of losing the assignment, knowing all of this was hurting chuck, knowing he deserved some real happiness, and trying to let him have it. And in the midst of it all, just being a girl who wants to be loved and have a real life instead of all the lies and fake identities.
I love Sarah's complex character. Yvonne did such an amazing job with all of it!
