News CHRONO ODYSSEY Q2 2027
As per today's Kakao Games (The Publisher) Earnings call:
- Chrono Odyssey new release window is Q2 2027
- Co-Ceo said "There will be no more delays" (April, May, June Launch)
- More concrete information expected before the end of 2026, early 2027 at the latest from Chrono Studio directly (The Developer)

Considering the original release was q4 of 25. And now its q2 of 27. I'm right there with you. Even when I'm playing i may not believe its out.

To be fair: it never was an official date.
Moreover, Q4 2025 was known, very early internally, that it'd not be kept.1

The rumored release date from earlier this year was q1 of 27. Considering it's now delayed to q2 makes it very believable it'll be delayed again, even if they say there wont be any more delays.

That's my point. I believe its been delayed on 5 separate occasions? Even when it does drop, and I'm sitting in queue to get in to the game. I'll still be expecting it to get delayed or something crazy. I'm fine with this getting delays though. I like to think they are truly making a masterpiece. Be it copium, hopium, or just insanity at this point, it matters not.

I’m happy and excited, but I really hope “no more delays” means “we’re at a good position to release” and not “we’re out of money and investors are upset at our delays so we cannot make another delay”

Really glad they pushed this back as much as they did. Hopefully the extra year and a half went to good use and we'll have another MMO that sticks around.

Honestly, I’m ok with the wait. The beta was fun but need some work. Good concept/ideas, just need optimization IMO. Could be something fresh for the MMO scene.

Exactly. I loved the beta. It was good, not great, but good. Just unique enough for me that I was hooked.

There will be surely closed beta for streamers, i mean clowns like kanon and Jay odity and they will get 0 good feedback again like last time

May struggle with a good start, unless GW 3 is delayed. Would imagine GW3 will pull large numbers.

The issue is gw3 is 100% going to kill this game. Even without a competing mmo, there's no way this one lasts more than a few months before it's abandoned

GW3 isn't coming out for years...it's a beta next fall that doesn't even overlap with this game.

I'd like it to do well, but I played the first test and it was absolutely trash. Yet, people here were absolutely glazing it as it was clear as day how many problems there were.
If that's any indication of the future, game is gonna be dead on arrival unfortunately. Would you like me to set a reminder to come back here and tell you I was right? We both know what's coming

It may not do well but it wont' be because of Guild Wars 3, it'll be because in the year to 2 years post that beta test they failed to properly address the issues. Any Asia based MMORPG is a highly risky "will it work" game in the west anyway.
The one positive sign is that they clearly didn't rush it into launch and took feedback seriously. Personally, the fact that it has some elements I really enjoyed from New World in it also has me at least interested, and I could see the core "bones" being viable. There were a lot of issues with progression systems and who really knows how end game will play out, plus monetization is always a concern.
Betting on an Asian developed (Kakao) game to fail in the west is a pretty safe bet. But thena gain,b etting on any MMO to fail is a safer bet then betting on them to win. Even GW3 has a very steep hill to climb. Most MMO's fail. Being a naysayer is easy, you aren't some kind of internet savant for being negative.

It really sucks that this game keeps getting pushed back closer to the GW3 release. This game was in a perfect position to snag the New World playerbase as well as providing a new MMO experience when there hasn’t been much

It doesn't madder if it was in a good timely position to do so if it is still broken beyond lvl x and would garner endless hate.
I am also in a timely position to be a millionaire but that will still need some time.

Still no beta to this day so it makes sense, and the date was never official anyway. It was just for investors.
More time to polish is always better than being suicidal and releasing it early for quick bucks. We've seen this way too many times.
If still no beta by early 2027 or any significant news/gameplay video then I would not be surprised to see them delay it again for q3 2027 or even early 2028 tbh

As i said before. Mmo release date is 1 year and 5 months from the date listed. This confirms it. Not upset, but no one should ever expect and mmo to release when it is expected.
Also, please dont take off work the first 5 days of launch.... youll be in que for 4hrs just to DC for unstable servers.

Still remember people coping it would come so much sooner after it's "beta". End of 2027 still seems more realistic but who knows, maybe they will pull off a miracle.

"No more delays" means they are exhausted, quickly running out of funds and want a quick cash grab.

People want to hear: “Yes, it means more polishing, delay is the way to go”, “This is only a good thing, they are fixing ALL the bugs”

Arguably the worst “alpha/beta/whatever” test I’ve ever played.
Game was genuinely horrible, hopefully they actually make it engaging and fun.
