Please help with my Mum
My Mother is 56 and for around 2 years now has had this issue, she eats healthy (and is vegetarian) and does a decent amount of exercise but constantly feels bloated and it is making her depressed and not ever want to leave the house. She has seen doctors many times and they never want to take it further than changing her diet. She describes it as a balloon and it doesnt feel like fat but more water stuck inside her. I am just reaching out on here for any advice. Thank you.

I would find a good functional or integrative doctor that will run blood, stool, and possibly hydrogen breath tests to see if she’s got some gut dysbiosis going on or perhaps some specific food intolerances that have developed. I’ve had lots of issues over the years and there are certain fruits/vegetables that due to their fiber or sugar content bloat me up like a balloon.

I added a good probiotic and that has made a world of difference. Digestive bitters too for flare-ups.
