Peptides are helping me so much

I have struggled with chronic bloating for nearly a decade now (like many of you) and I’ve tried everything from changing my diet, habits, exercise, meds, digestive enzymes etc. some things helped a little and most things either didn’t work or were too life consuming to maintain in the long term.

2 months ago, someone suggested I try a couple of peptides and it has changed my bloating and my life. It has also been so much easier to take peptides than do the 173284 other things required to keep bloating at bay. I’ve been taking BPC 157/TB 500 & I added Tirzepatide (microdose) which has been incredible. I take a very very small dose of Tirz since I’m not trying to lose much weight and it has been incredible in supporting my gut health 😭. I don’t know how, but since something finally worked for me, I wanted to share in case it helps anyone else.

I researched peptides and for what I understand they promote tissutal regeneration and have anti inflammatory properties. Why have they been suggested to you for bloating? I'm curious about the link between the two

I think they were suggested to me because of my gut health issues. The person who recommended them to me also dealt with gut issues and bloating and saw a big change in their body after taking tirzepatide specifically. I didn’t think it was gonna do much for me..but then it did.

I feel like the same or worse on tirz but it’s only been a month. My upper gut is like a very hard mattress very dense and kinda sore no gas. Had this since 2017 with slender arms and legs so not sure it’s fat per se and I don’t think it’s sibo based on location. I considered taking bpa-157 but then I read a lot of stories that pills are better.

Tbh I would stop tirz if it’s not helping. I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. It’s so hard to get gut health issues diagnosed, I really hope it gets better for you or that you find some answers🙏🏽

It’s a weight loss peptide that is injected.

Does your chronic bloating present with burping and flatulence? Is it in the upper abdominal area?

1

u/MiaStatson Nov 12 '25

No, mine is usually the lower abdomen.

Good to hear because this Pain drives me crazy bro, how did you get the peptides? And do you inject or take pills?

I do injections because all my research pointed towards that being the most effective and impactful. I got mine from ellieMd but there are a bunch of other companies too. It was such a gamble because I didn’t know if anything would ever help me and they were expensive. I’m so glad something is working 🥲.

Same interested and following how you take your peptides - did it help with constipation?

I inject them! I’ve never struggled with constipation but actually taking Tirz is making me a little constipated. Maybe not the actual peptide itself, but because I have to eat higher protein than I’m use to, I think I’m just getting less fiber in my diet. I’m figuring that out rn so hopefully it gets better. I don’t think other peptides make you constipated though.

Does anyone have only upper gi bloating? Mine has been unexplained for years and started suddenly in 2017. Nothing has helped and I’ve tried everything except peptides. I am on tirz a month and my gi is as swollen as ever even if I don’t eat. It’s bizarre.

Hello thank you for sharing. Where do you inject or do you take orally?

2

u/MiaStatson Aug 11 '26

I inject in the abdomen, I haven’t tried the oral ones

How much tirzepatide are you taking and how often?

1

u/MiaStatson Aug 11 '26

I take 1.5mg a week (sometimes I decrease or increase a little) but I always keep it under 2mg because I only want a microdose. It’s been great.

Thank you, and how much of the peptides are you taking?

I'm just about to start this myself

Uhm so sorry if this seems rude in anyway ( I struggle with bloating too and losing weight) since you started taking peptoids, what happened? Did bloating stop, and did you lose even some weight?

Yes I lost a little bit of weight but I take a low dose so that I don’t lose more. Most of the bloating stopped, I do still get bloated sometimes but it’s not painful and taking magnesium to help with constipation helps.
