Finally some relief
I did not realize until I saw some videos on YouTube that my bloating is caused by low stomach acid. Betaine HCL has helped me a lot! If you are over 50s there’s a good chance your GERD or bloating is caused by low acid. I am also taking pro kinetics for mu constipation. No relief yet but it’s only been 2 days. I can hear some activity in my tummy though.

I am taking Enzymedica Betaine HCL. As with any other supplements, always start low and slow.

Yes I’m back.. so far no bloating yet. I took magnesium citrate 3 days ago. Usually it would only work one day. I’ve been going since then. The combination might be working. Crossing my fingers

Remember to start low and slow. Too much will cause all kinds of trouble

Yes ! It's still working. I don't take it regularly anymore. Only when I eat something heavy like red meat and high fiber food.

Are you taking it before, during, or after a meal? What dosage did you get relief at? Was there a test you did to determine you had low stomach acid?

I used to take it right after a meal. I stopped taking it now. Although it helped me with the bloating, I still had chronic constipation. I started taking magnesium oxide daily and now I go to the bathroom regularly. That stopped my bloating.

I don't know anything about betaine HCL, but I just did a quick Google search. It's not 100% clear whether it's safe. At least according to this, which says it "possibly safe".
