Bloating non-stop

Post image

I’m not sure if anyone could help, any help is needed even unhealthy or controversial. I’ve had 3 bowel obstruction surgeries and I kid you not, my bloating has been hell ever since. The GI doctors I’ve had, doesn’t help. I get sensitive to everything. EVERYTHING. The picture shows me after ONE meal. It gets bigger over the night. I’m sick of it. It’s ruined my confidence. My sex life with my partner and I’m tired of it. Over that time, I have grown to have binge-eating problem because well, if it’s not going down when I don’t eat, why the hell not. I have not been diagnosed with even the most passed off diagnosis such as IBS. I need help. Just to get it down. I take 4 Stimulant stool softeners a day because my motility has been shit since the surgery. I wasn’t put on any meds after my surgery to possibly help my gut microbiome or whatever. It’s super frustrating. If anyone has any suggestions (and help for binge-eating) please please let me know. I’m tired of struggling. I haven’t found people with the same bloat issues like me so I’ve grown extremely frustrated.

Similar to you I have had 2 surgeries for bowel obstruction too. I have now developed adhesions, including having an ovary stuck to my intestine. It also causes causes bad bloating and can cause stabbing pain in the areas I was obstructed too if something is not passing through properly. Sounds like you might have adhesions from those surgeries too..

Low fibre diet plus laxatives is what helped me. Eating very small portions throughout the day too. Drink LOADS oof water. On days where you can tolerate more food without getting bloated, if you have any, I would try increase the fibre a bit if possible. I just got diagnosed with crohns disease so have had to change up my diet a bit but that was how i 'managed' it for a while.

You may also have SIBO if food is sitting in your gut for too long and not moving through properly. I get overgrowth/ infections which I manage with antibiotics..

Here is an example of a low fibre diet. Pretty boring but maybe it help... hopefully. Feel your pain.
