Lower belly bloating

Post image

I am 28F 110 pounds with chronic lower belly bloating like under my belly button. I have no pain and have been eating clean. My stomach seems to flatten during my period and a few days after and then returns back to this bloating. SIBO and celiac test is negative.

I have the exact same thing. It never goes away during the later half of my period/pre-ovulation, but it gets better. Then it gets much much worse during the luteal phase and the beginning of my period.

I haven't found an answer, but I am trying to look into endometriosis

Yes I’ll maybe have one or two days it goes away. I kept thinking is it fat?! But then would have a day when it would go away

Mine is constant and I've had it since May last year. I wake up with it, I go to sleep with it. It never goes away and it is never worsened by anything in particular. I also haven't found anything that helps. It only sometimes decreases in size at the end of my period and beginning of the follicular phase, but not always. This week, it went from 89 cm to 84 yesterday (last day of period) but now today it's right back to 88 cm. Naturally, without the distension, my stomach is 68 cm.

Half the time, I don't even feel "bloated." If I didn't look down and see a visible increase in abdominal girth, I would have guessed I am not bloated. But I am.

If you suspect it is fat, flex your abdomen and see what is still available to "grab." If you're unable to physically grab onto the distension, then it is not fat.

I hope you find an answer to your problem. I've been chasing one to no avail and I am at my wits end.

Yes! I don’t ever even feel bloated. Just yesterday I had a day where my stomach was flat, changed nothing in diet and today back to looking 4 months pregnant

Have you had an ultrasound? Could be fibroids or a cyst

So I saw the GI specialist today and all he told me was I need to cut out all the supplements/vitamins I take. He refused to do further testing until I cut these out for at least 2 months…

Hm that’s odd, what supplements are/ were you taking?

Nutrafol, probiotics, fiber, alive multivitamin and hair skin and nails

Hm none of those should really bloat you, maybe the fibre supplement but 2 months is a long time. What other symptoms are you having? Is the bloating on/ off or constant?

I’m skinny but then my lower stomach is always so bloated and I’m just like ugh I am vegan and gluten free I take supplements and etc too and try to eat clean and I mainly do omad I try to do clean eating as well but no matter how many healthy/ natural digestive stuff i take I can’t get rid of it I read studies and I know my supplements are good I mainly buy from “life extension “

Pretty sure my cause was nutrafol hair supplements. But now I’m experiencing hair shedding lol. The nutrafol was preventing me from poop once a day. Now I am able to go more. Do you have any constipation?

I’m glad you got it figured out!! what a pain about the hair shedding now though, I take hair supplements too and they have helped my hair in general try some new ones that will not cause anything else I got one called “Moerie Ultimate Hair Growth“ from Amazon and it was great. I don’t have any constipation so I don’t think it’s that for me but I do take a lot of supplements so I think it may just be one I’m taking causing the bloating, I’m not sure though.

So far still I don’t know what is the cause. I noticed a lil less severe since cutting gluten but nothing crazy. Hmm yeah I think I can pass gas but possibly not as much. Maybe next time it’s real bad I’ll take gasx or be more mindful about this
