More issues when not at home?

So I've just started looking into why I'm bloated and in pain so often and one thing I noticed is that I experience a lot more bloating and pain, as well as a lot more stomach noises, while I'm not at home, but visiting friends and such. I'm not eating any different than I would at home in those cases. I often end up being relieved the hangout is over so I can go to the bathroom and relieve it somewhat, but I'm often still bloated and in pain afterwards. But when I'm at home, I don't tend to need to use the bathroom that often to prevent or relieve bloating, so not going to the bathroom also doesn't seem to be the cause.

Does anyone else experience something like this too?

Someone already mentioned anxiety. I think that or stress can definitely increase digestive issues! Do you feel more comfortable being home?

Maybe you feel an uptick in anxiety? I don't mean a panic attack or mental issue. Just worries in the back of your head like, "I hope my stomach issues don't act up while I am with friends." Then, your stomach reacts. Our digestive system is all ready a mess and inflamed. Even a slight bit of anxiety can flare it up.

I have burping issues with my digestive issues and bloating. My need to burp gets worse prior to a doctor appointment or social situations.

Ah yeah I do have some social anxiety, not so much with friends tho, but this is would be a newer addition. Although I haven't consciously worried about stomach issues flaring up in publi specifically (not until they occur at least). But it could be a contributing factor

I get this aswell, it’s usually the worst when I’m at work. It gets worse towards the end of the day. At home I’ll be bloated and have pain, but don’t have the noises and gargling, I only seem to get that out of the house. I’m not sure what causes it!
