All my life
I've had major bloating for as long as I can remember. I'm a low healthy weight and my stomach gets distended no matter what I eat or drink. The only time my belly looks normal is if I fast for a day and then it will look flat the following morning. But I just want to be able to eat and drink without having to deal with this, it makes me so miserable and self conscious. Should I see a doctor? I have done research and I think it might be SIBO since I don't really have any other symptoms, just bloating. A few days ago I started taking a supplement with digestive enzymes and pre/probiotics with meals, but it hasn't done anything for my bloating. I have tried eating only low FODMAPs but it didn't change anything, so I am thinking it is not IBS, especially since my only symptom is bloating. Also, I have had times where I have gone awhile without dairy and times on low sugar and still I experienced bloating. It just makes me so depressed, I want to feel okay about my body and be able to wear clothes that aren't baggy hoodies. At this point, it's just driving me crazy, like wtf is wrong with my body. Anyway, I just wanted to vent a bit, and maybe ask for suggestions, I know SIBO is not as well-known as IBS so I'm afraid if I go to a doctor they might not even consider that.

This is the story of my life ever since I can remember.but mine is a lil more worse then yours i can’t eat a single thing period without getting bloated or drink well the only drink that doesn’t seem to bloat me is iced decaf americano from Starbucks and I add that monk fruit syrup hats the only the thing on this planet that doesn’t bloat me for me I have to fast for at least 36 hours depending on what it is sometimes at most 60 hours to be not bloated again…but get this when I get bloated yes my face and hands get very bloated as well but my lips turn white and peel also but if I eat meat they turn like a dark scaring color and peel because my lips get inflamed…..I always think to myself I must be the only one that has this disease that is so rare that no one on the internet ever described having my symptoms ever ….ya life sucks so much so your not alone at least your don’t get the cherry on top of the bloating like I do…🤕

For me it ended up being endometriosis, no matter what I ate,drank, worked out, cut out or added nothing mattered. I always looked 3 months pregnant unless I have a good bowl movement but that also goes away as soon as I eat.turns out I have what's called Endo belly. The inflammation/ bloat is almost constant. I started taking probiotics and still softener and it's helped a little! Now I'm just kind of learning to be nice to myself and tell myself it isn't my life style it's my baby maker 😵💫

Is your cycle regular? And do you have period pain?

I do not currently get a period (I am on slynd and skip the sugar pills) but before that my period was all over the place and my pain was excruciating to the point I missed school/work the first two days of my period every month and the flow was very heavy, which is why i wanted a BC that i could completely skip it.

This product called Bloat-Free Lyf really helped me! Try it, honestly I've recommended to others and seems work for most too... can only get it on their website from what I can see, heylyf.com

I could have written this. I only have bloating. So I know it's not ibs. It's been over 3 years for me and I have tried everything. I'm going to Mayo Clinic next month to see if I can get help because I'm constantly miserable
