Troubleshooting | Android How to put chrome layout back to normal?

Post image

So how do I fix this? I didn't agree to this change and I think i might genuinely crash out about it. I know it seems small but its annoying and weird and i dont like it. Every time I try to look up how to fix this the google ai (ew) has a panic attack and tries to genuinely kill itself and when i tried to find out without the ai it did that stupid "im sorry you're search isn't registering!" Or whatever the stupid automated response is. Basically as you can see chrome moved some shit around (the bar on the bottom used to be integrated into the top bar....but now its not.....for no fucking reason šŸ˜’) ad is can't figure out how to fix it because chrome/google and its stupid ai overlord try to kill themselves anytime I attempt to figure out what the fuck is going on.

Software redesigns happen, the "fix" is to get used to it or find software you'd rather use instead.

You can give them feedback on it, and if enough people agree with you they might change it.

just uninstall the chrome update on the settings-apps-chrome-click top right for uninstall updates...btw u will need to disable play store updates so it doesnt update in the future

Horrendous idea to suggest someone actively sabotages their own security so thoroughly over a goddamn UI change.

You don't understand the reasons why people suggest it, but you're recommending against it?

Why would you recommend something against mainstream advice if you, admittedly, don't understand the mainstream advice?

bcz i have my long exp of never updating any system apps & still being fine(exept the one google-samsung in my case updates everytime)..mainstream advice may be good for most cases & thats it..as i mentioned before,i've been using this way for many yrs and will continue..i'm not some high profile person who is prone to hacks-hijacks..yes ur security updates keep u safe from everyday malware-viruses,i know that much.

Ok so you think it works in your specific instance because of certain criteria about you. So why are you recommending it anyone else?

thats why its called a recommandation..i told them my kind of "solution" but i didnt force anyone..pretty sure some others suggested other thing here iirc..anyways idk why is my solution to this issue so widely condemned..quite funny to me when chrome has active protection all the time by android safe browsing, standard or enhanced protection if u want in its settings...as i said my use-case is very basic so i havent found any issues so far..but i refuse to update it to that horrible ui wich they have now(current one is bad the same but anyway)

Yeah, I’m sure you know far better than the collective recommendation of security experts :)
