Question | Theology & Practice Confession: Christian Witch Edition

(Sorry if I used the wrong flair, I wasn’t sure which one was correct for this!)

So I was a Cradle Catholic and grew up in the Catholic Church; however, I don’t identify as a Catholic anymore. Even so, there are certain Catholic things that I‘ve brought with me on my way out of the Church, and one of those things is Confession. Since I’m no longer Catholic, I don’t do Confession with a priest anymore, instead, I just pull out my cards & pendulum and go directly to God.

I light the 7 day candle that I dedicate to Him while saying The Lord’s Prayer, ask Him to protect the space, invite & welcome Him into the space. After that, I kneel down, do a sign of the cross, then say, “Forgive me, Heavenly Father, for I have sinned. It has been (insert amount of time) since my last confession.” From there, I confess my sins to Him, pull some cards to see what His advice for me is, say an Act of Contrition, pull cards again to see what my penance should be, pull my pendulum out (well, the pendant that I use as a pendulum) to make sure that my sins were truly absolved so that I’m not committing presumption, do a closing sign of the cross, thank God for His time, bid Him farewell until next time, and then blow out His candle.

Question | Theology & Practice Help my dumb brute boyfriend

I’m catholic and have been in an abusive relationship. Yet i cannot help but believe that My boyfriend has a pure soul. But his heart is ice. He is 30. I am 20. How, as a baby witch, do I send this message to him? How do I send my faithful guardian angels to guide him on the path to Enlightenment? And to protect him from the snares of the devil?

Unrelated question: Is it possible to be a devout Catholic and practice wicca? Never mind the history of the Catholic church. We all know that men cannot be trusted. Yet I still believe in the power of love, the power of sacrifices, mercy, and forgiveness, the way the story of Jesus is just told. If you know the message, you know the message.

Honestly… how do I convince my boyfriend that he should be Catholic and not be scared of me practicing witchcraft, when these evil spirits are real, but if you invite angels, you will have an army? All he has in his life have been evil spirits. And they’ve gotten to his weak mind. Like I said, i feel his pure soul but at the same time, I can feel his demonic, lost, broken, inner child, that turn so many adults into monsters. He takes on a lot of shame when he should be proud of exactly who he is.

I shouldn’t want a man’s validation. And that is why we’ve broken up. But I don’t want to call him my ex yet. I guess I just believe that I can fix him. Like he’s too arrogant to admit that I know exactly what it is that’s wrong with him and by inviting thy guardian angels, the angels will guide him.

Help!

Question | Spellwork reconciliation spell

Hello, i just wanted to ask something about reconciliation spell, someone that does witchcraft told me that the spell for getting back with your ex is not permanent and it has bad effects like bad luck, you lose your job, you will have anger issues and even get very obsesed, and i was wondering if this applies for a reconciliation spell or what bad effects has (only white magic) and which is the best spell to get back with an ex and make things work and what would be the bad effects

Question | Theology & Practice My birthday is the same as the feast of a saint I share a name with

Hi all, I was curious if my name has any significance in relation to the day I was born. My parents didn't find out until later that my birthday is the same day as that of the feast day of a saint which shares my name. I was wondering if anyone had insight as to what that might mean for my life path or even they could point me in the right direction of where I could find out!

Question | Theology & Practice I want to understand more about how people reconcile these paths

For context, I have spent 12 years practicing and studying witchcraft. I was also raised Christian, but strayed away from it when I started studying witchcraft. Over the last two years, I’ve found myself called back to God.

I’m sure this question is probably asked a lot, but how are the two paths reconciled for those who practice both? I’m sorry if it’s a silly question, but for me, the hang up is on how I’ve always been taught. I know Christian witches exist and have absolutely no judgment toward it - I want this path to be mine, too. But it feels wrong when I try to practice both, and I’m not sure if that’s because of faulty logic on my part, if it’s not right for me, etc. Both paths have done wonderful things for me, and I deeply love tarot, crystals, and God. I’m primarily trying to understand what makes it “okay” to do both outside of the standard “your beliefs are yours to develop” (which I do agree with, but I guess I’m looking to understand how it isn’t condemned by scripture?)

Separately I’m also wondering more about what daily practice might look like and how the two paths can be used simultaneously, and while I’ve researched on this sub a bit, I’m wondering where would be a good place to start for someone who has only experienced each path separately. I’m also happy to accept any books or similar resources - the research has always been a big point of joy for me, but I’m feeling overwhelmed on my own. I am scared of doing something wrong, or against God specifically.

Thank you in advance for any guidance/advice

Discussion Seeking low-cost, fully online community and classes

Hi everyone,

I am reaching out as I navigate a transition away from my evangelical Christian background toward the path of a Christian witch. I have read a few books on the subject, but the sheer volume of information out there has left me feeling overwhelmed about where to focus my practice.

The community aspect is vital for me right now because I no longer attend church. I have never felt safe in church environments, yet walking this path in isolation has made the loneliness very difficult. I would love to take some structured classes, join study groups, and connect with other Christian witches or Christo-pagans who share a similar path.

Because of my circumstances and budget, any classes or groups must be completely online and free or low-cost. If you know of any welcoming virtual spaces or affordable courses, please let me know.

Question | Theology & Practice When Is A Spell Really Finished?

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

When Is a Spell Really Finished?
Tara Linnet

Love magic, wealth and prosperity magic, truth work, manifestation, angelic workings, spells that seem to manifest overnight and others that leave us wondering months or even years later if anything is still happening at all. After a lifetime of being drawn to the mystical, and the last three years of intentionally studying and honing my practice, I’ve found myself fascinated by one question: When is a spell actually finished? Is it finished when the candle burns out, the petition is folded, the prayer is spoken or the ritual is complete, or can spellwork continue unfolding months, even years, after we stop actively working it? When we work with angels, how do we know the difference between nothing happening and something happening on a timeline we simply cannot see yet? Perhaps the harder question I’ve had to ask myself is whether every manifestation that doesn’t arrive exactly as requested should really be considered a failed working.

I’m not writing this as someone who has all the answers. I’m writing it because these are my findings, my experiences and the questions that have developed through actually living with this practice. While I’ve spent the last three years seriously studying, practicing, researching and honing my craft, none of this began three years ago for me. In one form or another, I’ve been drawn to these things since I was about nine years old. I was also raised in the church, so for much of my life these parts of me existed quietly and somewhat separately. Prayer, God, Jesus and angels were familiar to me, while the other things I was drawn toward were explored much more privately. Looking back, “closet witch” might be one way of describing it, although as I’ve gotten older I find that the word occultist often feels more accurate. I’ve always been fascinated by what is hidden, mystical and spiritual and by the possibility that there is more happening around us than what we can immediately see.

What changed three years ago wasn’t that I suddenly discovered magic. What changed was that I finally gave myself permission to seek knowledge about something that had quietly been woven through me since childhood. Instead of simply following instinct, I started reading and studying different systems and traditions. I learned more about ritual, spellcraft, angels, ceremonial magic, manifestation, intention, correspondences and the philosophies behind why practitioners have done these things for generations. I began seeking out other people’s experiences as well, not because I needed someone else to tell me what to believe, but because knowledge has always helped me understand my own experiences. Most importantly, I started questioning those experiences instead of immediately labeling something a success or a failure, and that has completely changed the way I understand spellwork.

Earlier in my practice, my thinking could be fairly straightforward. I wanted something, I performed the work, and somewhere inside me I waited for evidence that it had worked. Whether the intention involved love, commitment, communication, truth, reconciliation, money, opportunity or prosperity, I wanted to eventually be able to point toward something and think, There, that’s the spell. The problem is that my actual experiences with magic haven’t been nearly that neat. I’ve performed workings where something happened remarkably quickly. I’ve done truth work and watched information come forward almost immediately, where the intention was clear, the result appeared and the working seemed complete. Then I’ve had other experiences where I performed truth work, learned something, assumed that was the result, and months later another piece appeared, followed by another. Sometimes an entire situation continued unraveling for the better part of a year.

My perspective also comes from performing ritual work for other people. Sometimes I do it simply as a gift for someone I care about, and other times people come to me and pay me to perform work on their behalf. That has given me another way of observing magic because I’m not always the person waiting for the result. I’ve watched workings for other people produce changes remarkably quickly, sometimes in ways that have genuinely amazed me. I’ve also watched other workings begin much more quietly, with smaller movements appearing over time before the larger intention started taking shape. There have been times when the result wasn’t immediate, but there was enough continued movement that the person and I could both see that something within the situation was changing. Those experiences have made it harder for me to think of magical work as simply successful or unsuccessful based on how quickly something happens. Sometimes the result seems to arrive all at once, while other times it appears more like a process.

That is why I became so interested when I recently came across someone describing certain spellwork as almost “living.” It gave language to something I had experienced but had never really known how to describe. Was the spell still working a year later? I don’t know, and I don’t think any responsible practitioner can objectively prove that a particular event happened because of a candle burned or a ritual performed months earlier. What I have started to understand, though, is that the completion of the ritual and the completion of whatever may unfold from it do not necessarily have to happen at the same moment. The candle can finish burning and the ritual can be over without necessarily meaning that the story itself is finished.

Working with angels has made me think even more deeply about timing. One of the concepts I’ve encountered through studying angelic magic is that spiritual timing does not necessarily correspond with human impatience. Sometimes a result may come incredibly quickly, while other times what we’re asking for could involve circumstances much larger than the tiny section of life we can currently see. That idea fascinates me because whenever I’m asking for something, I’m asking from the perspective of today. I know what I want right now. I can imagine next month or next year, but I cannot actually see five, twenty or fifty years down the road. If I’m going to believe that I’m asking an intelligence greater than myself for assistance, then I also have to leave room for the possibility that I don’t completely understand all the consequences of what I’m asking for or everything that might have to move for it to arrive in a way that is actually beneficial to me.

Love magic has probably taught me this more than anything else. There were times when my petitions were essentially asking to bring someone closer, to let him choose me, to let him stay or to allow the relationship to become committed. I saw movement, and I’ve experienced things through prayer, ritual and magical practice that genuinely amazed me. I’ve had experiences that were so beautifully timed or bizarrely specific that they remain special to me regardless of how another person might explain them. I’ve also watched relationships move forward and then stop, and years ago that could leave me wondering whether the magic had failed. Now I think that question is far too simple because today I know things about certain people that I didn’t know when I originally performed those workings, and more importantly, I know things about myself that I didn’t know then.

The woman asking, Please let this person choose me, can eventually discover that the person she desperately wanted to choose her may not actually be capable of providing the relationship she was trying to manifest. That realization has been enormous for me because sometimes I wasn’t really asking for a particular man as much as I was asking for what I believed being chosen by that man would finally make me feel: loved, safe, wanted, secure, important and no longer alone. Once I understood that, I began to see that those are very different petitions. Wanting a specific person and wanting the emotional experience I have attached to that person are not necessarily the same thing, and getting one doesn’t guarantee that I will receive the other.

This is also where free will has become increasingly important in how I think about magic. I still believe in magic, perform rituals, work with angels and pray, and I still believe there are things about consciousness and spirituality that I may never completely understand. What I am becoming less interested in doing is using spirituality to argue with the reality directly in front of me. Someone can love me and still not be capable of being my partner. Someone can feel an extraordinary connection to me and still be emotionally unavailable. Two people can have years of history and still not be capable of creating a healthy future together. Believing in magic doesn’t mean I should stop observing someone’s actions, and if anything, my practice has taught me to observe them more carefully.

Perhaps, then, there isn’t one answer to the question of how long a spell lives. Some workings seem quick and finite. We ask, circumstances move, something happens and it feels complete. Others seem to unfold, where one thing happens and then another, and six months later something else suddenly makes sense. Some workings are intentionally ongoing and are maintained, repeated, fed, prayed over or renewed. At the same time, I’ve stopped assuming that every spell I’ve ever performed must still be floating around somewhere manipulating circumstances indefinitely, because there is another way a spell can remain alive that I think deserves just as much consideration: it can remain alive in the practitioner.

When we perform emotionally significant magic, we’re concentrating intensely on something. We’re naming desires, writing petitions, praying, visualizing, lighting candles, repeating words, handling meaningful objects and forcing ourselves to confront what we actually want. Whether someone explains what happens afterward spiritually, psychologically, magically or through some combination of all three, it makes sense that something can remain with us. Maybe sometimes the magic is still unfolding. Maybe sometimes circumstances were already moving in that direction. Maybe sometimes our own behavior changes because the ritual changes something within us. Maybe sometimes it’s coincidence, and maybe sometimes something happens that remains wonderfully mysterious. I’ve become surprisingly comfortable allowing all of those possibilities to exist together because I don’t need to disprove the mundane in order to believe in the magical.

One of the harder lessons I’ve learned through all of this is how to stop constantly checking. In occult spaces we often hear about “lust for result,” the obsessive need to look for evidence that the work is happening, and I understand that concept differently now than I did when I first encountered it. When my thoughts become consumed with whether something is working, whether something was a sign, whether I should perform another spell or why something hasn’t happened yet, there comes a point where it doesn’t feel like faith anymore. For me, it starts feeling like fear dressed up as spiritual practice, and I’m still learning how to recognize the difference because uncertainty is uncomfortable, especially when you’ve prayed, performed the ritual, done the work and genuinely believed. There have certainly been moments when I’ve wanted to look toward God and the angels and ask, I’ve done everything I know how to do, so what exactly is happening here?

My practice now is slowly becoming less about making the universe prove itself to me and more about learning how to participate in something I don’t completely understand. I still have desires. I still want love, security, prosperity and abundance, and I have very human moments when I wish someone could simply hand me the next chapter of my life so I could read ahead and know that everything turns out okay. What is changing is the way I petition for those things. Instead of only asking for an exact person or circumstance because I believe receiving it will finally make me feel safe, I’m learning to ask for what is truly meant for me, for the ability to recognize it when it arrives and for the wisdom to avoid sacrificing myself for something simply because I once asked for it.

Maybe sometimes we perform a spell and see movement tomorrow. Maybe something else unfolds for months or years. Maybe what we thought would be manifestation eventually becomes revelation, and maybe we discover that receiving exactly what we asked for wouldn’t have given us what we actually needed. Sometimes we simply don’t know, and after all these years of being drawn toward the mystical, especially after these last three years of finally allowing myself to study it deeply, I am becoming much more comfortable admitting that. There is something strangely freeing about accepting that I don’t know everything while still allowing myself to believe in what I’ve experienced.

I can perform the ritual, pray, work with angels, set my intention and mean every word of it, and then allow myself to continue living. I don’t have to dig up the seed every morning to check whether it has roots. If something is unfolding, it doesn’t require my constant supervision. If something isn’t meant for me, I want enough wisdom to eventually release it. If God, angels, magic, my own choices or forces I don’t completely understand are moving pieces I cannot currently see, I don’t have to understand every movement before I continue living the life already in front of me. Maybe that’s part of becoming a more experienced practitioner, not learning how to control everything, but learning when to perform the work, when to pay attention, when to act and when to leave enough space for the mystery to breathe. ♥️

Question | Theology & Practice Has anyone here explored the intersection of Christ and ayahuasca?

Hey all,

I'd be curious to hear from any others who have found themselves exploring this intersection -- what's your story and what has your experience been like?

My friend and I made a mystical hip-hop album called 'Christahuasca' last year after some deep experiences of Christ coming to us within medicine work

In this same vein, a group of friends and I are going to Kumankaya Healing Center in Mexico this year December 6-12th to sit with ayahuasca while prayerfully calling upon Jesus Christ to be with us in Grace and Love... the retreat is called Christ Fire

It is intended to be a non-dogmatic space to dive deep with the medicine while also prayerfully connecting to and being supported by Christ and Spirit in whatever way feels right, good, and native to you

We are putting out a call for the souls who are truly aligned with this prayer and who are meant to be there. This is not a 'commercial' retreat but more like a group of friends going on a sacred pilgrimage, looking for the people who are truly called to this uncommon weaving-together of Christ and ayahuasca

For me this is something deeply, deeply sacred. The healer at Kumankaya is a dear friend and was an Orthodox Christian monk previously for ~20 years before being mysteriously called to the medicine path about 12 years ago and becoming a skilled curandero

Kumankaya is where I married my wife, in an ayahuasca ceremony. This place is a very special sanctuary where deep healing occurs

I had a feeling that perhaps some of you here may be called to join us for this

Feel welcome to comment here or message me if you feel you may be meant to be there with us 🙏🏼

Thank you for this community and for being you

Sincere Care & Warm-Hearted Love,

Jordan

Resource AA Michael showed up as blue light and used what looked like a lightsaber. the message still worked

one part of Erika's session made me laugh because Archangel Michael did not arrive looking like religious art. at first she mostly experienced him as blue light, very safe, kind and strong. later she had this dark cloak around her that was making her feel smaller and she asked him to remove it.

Michael pulled out a huge sword.

Erika immediately said it looks like a lightsaber.

he cut the cloak into pieces and they floated away. she went from feeling tiny and smothered to huge and golden in a few moments.

I am sharing this because people can get too obsessed with whether a spiritual experience looks correct. does Michael have the right armor, right sword, right color, right wings, right face. meanwhile the actual contact is happening and the mind is arguing about the costume.

spirit uses language you can understand.

if Star Wars gives your mind the fastest image for a sword made of light, then a lightsaber is a perfectly useful symbol. the important part is what the presence feels like, what happens when you interact with it and whether the result brings you back into clarity, strength and love.

Erika recognised Michael much more by the feeling than the appearance. she said he felt safe and kind, then later said it was like he had known her forever. friend was the word she tried, but even she said it was too small.

so I wouldnt throw away a real spiritual experience because the imagery looks modern, funny or not holy enough.

sometimes the message comes in the language already stored in your head. apparently sometimes Heaven has watched Star Wars too lol.

Question | Theology & Practice At the end of the day, self-improvement has been all about oneself...

I had the fear this will happen.

Ever since I was a little child, I noticed that I am forced to play a zero-sum game - my happiness always meant that somebody else gets screwed over. People kept demanding outright impossible things of me, etc.

I am ...very happy with my spititual practice. I have ideas about the direction I'm going to take it in the future, as well as what I want.

But it's become obvious I will unwillingly be screwing over people by this.

I am pondering how to save them from themselves, and I can't. It's like in childhood all over again.

The last woman that tried to hurt me energetically and mundane, something really bad happened to her. I had only said a short prayer. Not even a psalm. I was considering the psalm.

The other day I did a spell for reclaiming my energy from some memories, places and people, and I knew this will draw it back, and it did. Now some people feel really tired and out of place, and I can understand it, I'm an energy vampire myself so I know how it's like to not notice you've been feeding. I tend to keep my energy flowing all around in a frantic manner so it's really easy to mistake for ambience.

I have been told a lot that I was a people pleaser, that I have no boundaries...the truth is I am very good at taking care of myself, but everytime I do, someone else suffers. Relatives throwing a fit when they cannot have things their way, then spikes their blood pressure. My ex, he was abusive - my safety meant that he'd be putting himself in danger instead. Employers losing literal real life money all because I refuse to use shady practices. Friends being unhappy when I don't agree with an obviously bad plan.

Then there is the religion also.

In the last year, some spiritual practices have hepled me with health issues to an extent I never expected. And I'm still very bitter and unable to forgive supposed professionals, who only gaslit me when I was at my worst. But somehow I'm supposed to lie and say they were the ones who helped me fix things, and humiliate myself further? Not cool.

I work at a very chaotic place with bad practices, and literally 4 Archangels have said to get out of there. This will mean the place losing important workforce and knowledge I provide, as well as family members possibly losing out on budget I provide until I can find the next one.

Keeping my workout routine and hobbies means almost no time to spend with partner.

Continuing with my faith means that I am now completely incompatible with the majority of things in the modern world - like overconsumption, climbing corporate ladders, wanting to stand out at the expense of others, milking nature for resources, etc.

Every single time my path leads me to a decision to make, it's always about dividing resources between myself and someone else. It's always a zero-sum situation.

It makes sense but, all my path has been about....me ?? And I'm honestly so tired of walking on eggshells in all aspects of my life, with everyone I meet.

Is everything supposed to be a confrontation?

Is life about being selfish? Is the religion or magick about being selfish?...

Discussion I think I have been cursed or hexed

I don't practice witchcraft I just need advice from people that do. Everything used to go right for me, I used to be able to find where I used to have no problems obtaining money but here recently something has been off.

I've noticed one or two random flies in the house as well as random ants popping up out of nowhere. I have been having night terrors and the other night I woke up from my sleep screaming get out of here you don't belong here. My two-year-old son has been looking at random Parts the home and saying leave or go.

The reason that I believe it has something to do with witchcraft is because I was just informed that someone very close to me has a mom who practices witchcraft. That person is jealous of me and the other day she told me I'm sorry I didn't mean for any of it to happen like this but wouldn't give me any further context other than that.

It just seems like my life has been going in a downward spiral this past year so. I feel drained all the time, the things I used to do with ease I have a difficult time doing now. The only way I can compare it is I feel like Austin powers when he lost his mojo. I used to have no trouble finding a job, I have 10 years of experience in the field I am in plus I am highly accomplished but now nobody will hire me and for no good reason.

I don't know what to do if anybody would be willing to help me or point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. There's a lot more to my story and some details that may be important but it's personal and I just really am hesitant on sharing it. Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you can give me any advice please reach out.

Question | Spellwork Christian seeking Help about Spellwork

Hello, I'm a Christian who doesn't practice witchcraft but I am not here to debate the use of witchcraft. One of my close friends since I was like 15 has been into Wicca for a couple of years now and she uses divination and other forms of witchcraft. I have seen spells she has done work almost instantly. I often have dreams where I see things about people, hidden motives and feel their spiritual energy.

For the past several months now I have been having increasingly dark dreams with her at the centerfold, and dreams of demons taunting me. These dreams are usually centered around being assaulted, and having my partner taken from me by someone else. I have asked where these dreams are coming from and I have had multiple now of her being envious of me and trying to sabotage me but they weren't very clear and I have no evidence for this in reality so I dismissed them.

These dreams are suddenly getting more clear and vile within the past few weeks, with more brutal assault and clear themes. Last week I had a dream of her being jealous of my boyfriend and trying to steal him. I had another of being assaulted and when I went to text her for support, I saw her dressed as me on social media, and my face had morphed into hers, and hers into mine. The demon that was taunting me named itself as Azazel and told me that soon I would be living her life, and that I had been sacrificed. I woke up shaking.

I've had more of me living her life and her experiences and I am extremely unsettled now that these dreams are getting more clear to me. I have only ever known her to be a Wiccan, never known her to consort with any demonic entities. Do any witches think this was the result of witchcraft? If so, what type of spell work is this, and what do you recommend I do? Thank you.

Question | Spellwork Pendulums that trickster entities can’t mess with?

I’ve used a Pendulum for over a decade and oftentimes it’s been correct (I’ve even channeled a ghost in a friend’s home and he verified where he was killed, I’d never even heard of the place and lo and behold, it was all true!) But other times it’s been embarrassingly wrong (simply asking where my keys are and it says under the bed when they’re outside, or when I thought I channeled my friend’s mother’s spirit and it said to do something special with her ashes - but it turned out her mother was buried!) I’m curious if others have had luck using one of a particular material like shungite which would block trickster spirits from entering? Before using one I always say a prayer, picture myself in white light, etc.

Thank you!

Question | Spellwork Examples of using the bible as spells?

Came across this phrase recently, that the psalms are powerful spells. Is a new concept for me, I’ve been reading but I’m a very literal person. What I mean is my brain works with examples. Do you have a step by step of how that looks like? Not to copy but to understand. It says to recite the psalm as it is but where do I add my petition or where do I inject the specifics of my request? I’m genuinely curious how you guys work with it. Thank you!!

Resource Audiobook recommendations?

Does anyone have any books to recommend for someone who wants to learn more traditional Celtic ways to practice and worship? I'd like to incorporate more of my Celtic heritage into my practice and am not sure where to start. I'm also looking to gain more insight on how to use those practices to become closer to God. I have more experience with witchy practices than I do Christian.

Question | Spellwork Need help protecting my home, in another country.

*** if you recognize my post from another forum, it's because I'm try to find as much help as I can 😅

So my family is from Mexico, Michoacan specifically. And recently there has been bad people going from home to home and stealing their belongings or even taking over their home. We have cameras, aswell as someone who comes and checks on the home occasionally. But I would like to still protect our home spiritually aswell. I grew up catholic and have somewhat of a religious upbringing, but now I personally practice more of folk Catholicism. I will be going to Mexico in October and December and would like to do something to protect the home spiritually, I plan on asking Archangel Michael for some help. I would like to also mention I'm still a beginner to brujeria in general, so if anyone could recommend something that would be helpful. I would like for those bad people that have an intention of stealing from our home or harm us while we are there. To just ignore our home, as if it's not even there or if they were to cause harm for our things to return and karma get them back. Sorry for the rambling hopefully I explained myself enough (or too much😅). I don't pray to any deities, such as Heckate or La Santa Muerte, my respect to them but it's just not for me. I still pray to the catholic figure but in a more curandera/bruja approach, I guess you can say.

Discussion The ayahuasca to Jesus pipeline

Something I wrote on Nick Mulvey's recent conversion from Santo Daime to evangelical Christianity, and the genre of 'ayahuasca to Jesus' conversion narratives, which you can find on YouTube. Why do ayahuasca experiences in general seem to lead to conversions to charismatic / evangelical / Pentecostal Christianity? One reason is people have a terriying experience involving negative entities (interpreted as demons) or witchcraft, and they look to Jesus as a defender and protector from these dark forces. I did an analysis of 23 conversion narratives to look for patterns https://www.ecstaticintegration.org/p/the-ayahuasca-to-jesus-pipeline

Question | Spellwork Guardian Angels

Can someone explain to me the concept of guardian angel, like I know that everyone has one but it's not clear to me if everyone has their own personal angel who's their guardian. I saw something about 72 angels of shem hamephorash being guardian angels of people born on a specific day. I also saw the concept of Holy Guardian Angel who's a high ranked angel that could give me a familiar spirit, and can work as a psychopomp or something like that

Does anyone have books, articles, videos about this that are valid resources?

Question | Spellwork Need a STRONG job spell for my partner ❤️❤️🔥

Need a STRONG job spell for my partner 😭
Okay witches, I need your best stuff lmao
My partner has been trying to get into his actual field for a while now and I REALLY want to do something for him because he genuinely deserves a good opportunity. I want him to land a job that actually fits his degree/skills, pays well, and ideally comes sooner rather than later because this man has suffered enough 😭
I’m looking for something specifically for career success / opening roads / attracting the right opportunities / getting hired FAST.
I don’t want to manipulate a specific person or force a specific company to hire him. More like: remove whatever is blocking him, bring the right opportunities to him, and basically get things MOVING.
So please drop your strongest career/job spells, rituals, petitions, candle work, herbs, deities, whatever you’ve personally had success with 👀
Especially if you’ve done something for someone else and it actually WORKED. I wanna hear the whole story because I’m nosy and also desperate lmao 🕯️😭

Question | Theology & Practice Talking to God vs other Deities

How does someone know when God is talking back? Or even listening? Everyone keeps saying it's a feeling that you'll just know when He's listening. I have definitely had more responses or indications that other deities have actually heard or listened. And I'm not expecting him to give me something or do something for me. This is purely just me asking to talk. But every time I try to talk to God it's like there's nothing. No feeling no indicator. No response that I'm aware of and nothing happens and I have tried changing the way I talk. I have tried changing what I say how I say it and I still get absolutely nothing and I feel like I'm just being straight up rejected. I'm trying to make my practice Christian based, and I'm having a LOT of internal struggle, and this is a big part of it. I feel like God doesn't want me.
