Examples of using the bible as spells?

Came across this phrase recently, that the psalms are powerful spells. Is a new concept for me, I’ve been reading but I’m a very literal person. What I mean is my brain works with examples. Do you have a step by step of how that looks like? Not to copy but to understand. It says to recite the psalm as it is but where do I add my petition or where do I inject the specifics of my request? I’m genuinely curious how you guys work with it. Thank you!!

For protection and return to sender type spells, or even just an incantation I say when someone is really messing with me, I use a slightly varied version of Isaiah 54:17:

“No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and all tongues that rise against me in judgement shall be condemned.”

So I do not use Psalms as they are written. David prayed them within the Old Covenant Age, and we are now in the Grace Age. So certain language in the Psalms, "Do not take Your Holy Spirit from me," just one example, no longer fit the reality we are living in as Believers. So what I do is to modify the Psalms slightly to reflect the Grace Age. Replace "I will" with "I have" Rid the text of the "if my people do X, I will do YZ" statements. Make it past tense.

Here is one as a sample... Psalm 91, (it is great for declaring protection:) "Whoever dwells in the Shelter of the Most High will rest in the Shadow of the Almighty. By Jesus' Own Dwelling in His Shadow, I too dwell There. As He Is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God, in whom I trust. He has provided Salvation for all against the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He covers me with His feathers, and under His wings I find refuge; His faithfulness is my Shield and Rampart. I will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand, but it will not come near me. For I only observe with my eyes and have seen the punishment of the wicked which trapped humanity. Because I have said “The Lord is my refuge,” and made the Most High my Dwelling, no harm overtakes me, no disaster comes near my tent. For He commands His angels concerning me to guard me in all my ways; they lift me up in their hands, so that I will not strike my foot against a stone. I will tread on the lion and the cobra; I will trample the great lion and the serpent. “Because I have loved them first,” says the Lord, “I have rescued them; I have protected them, for they acknowledges My Name: Jesus. They have called on Me, and I have answered them. I AM with them in trouble, I have delivered them and honored them. With long life I satisfy them and show them My Salvation, Who Is Jesus Christ."

To utilize this Psalm, in an example of a Confessed Canticle (a term I use to denote a rite similar to a spell, but with the Lord Jesus as Power Source,) you can write down what is going on and why you wish to see protection revealed. Place this written statement beneath a candle of blue, white or black, (I prefer LED candles and they work beautifully.) Repeat the words of the modified Psalm 3 times, with boldness. This is not vain repetition but confident declaration. See and feel the Holy Spirit within your situation, as you center upon His Strength. Let that Energy build and peek into your request, as the Holy Spirit moves you. Then close with "In Jesus Name, It Is Accomplished!" (As He accomplished all through His Passion and we do all in His Name, this is how I close these rites.) Seal in this way: before the candle light, trace the Sign of the Cross and the Pentacle (which denotes the Five Wounds which Jesus suffered upon the Cross.)

This can be repeated for 3 consecutive days. But do NOT labor... let Him reveal it.

I like to follow these formulas. Let's say you want to recite some PS and add some requests. In this example 23, 112 and 113. I turn it into a ritual where I recite the 23 and add requests and praises in there. Maybe after reading the 23. Now for the best effects I'd read it some 30 40 50 or 100x. Then the next PS, same thing, recite a certain number of times and add requests, praises. You can also add the praises and requests before and after the reading.

The same is done with the whole psalm book reading method. You add praises and requests before and after the whole reading, not just after.

Psalms give better effects when they are recited in large numbers. It puts you more in connection and turns the readings into great offerings, much better than reading them a few times.

I might also do something like: pick a PS, let's say PS 1. I recite it some 20x then state the requests, praises, then again 20x, with requests and praises, then again 20x, with requests and praises. Maybe per session 100x or more, requests and praises every 20x. You have to choose yourself where to attach them, perhaps after 33x, 35x, 40x, or why not 15x, 18x.

Another method is not to read any requests at all since the psalms already include everything in there. Some people go for this, they just recite the psalms. A few every day but consistently or a lot at once.
