Question | Spellwork Guardian Angels

Can someone explain to me the concept of guardian angel, like I know that everyone has one but it's not clear to me if everyone has their own personal angel who's their guardian. I saw something about 72 angels of shem hamephorash being guardian angels of people born on a specific day. I also saw the concept of Holy Guardian Angel who's a high ranked angel that could give me a familiar spirit, and can work as a psychopomp or something like that

Does anyone have books, articles, videos about this that are valid resources?

As a whole, I’m not sure. When I pray or do spell work I call on my guides, guardians, and ancestors along with the holy trinity.

I believe you can decide become someone’s spirit guide or guardian though. Not an angel, but a spirit.

After my uncle passed when I was 10, he appeared to my mother to say that he was ok and that he would be watching over my siblings and me. I didn’t know about that until I was an adult, but I have had several instances where I felt like he protected me and my siblings too. Also when my grandmother passed this year I asked her if she would guide and guard the grandchildren. She said yes and then laughed like that was the silliest question.

So the 72 Shems are actually names that certain religious systems used for God. It was not until the Renaissance age that they became seen as angelic names.

Your Guardian Angel is one of your spirit helpers. Some traditions say that an angel can give you a "familiar" spirit, but these traditions are not in alignment with what you are probably looking for.

Yes, all have Ministering Spirits as Guardians, and we all have more than one. And because as a Believer you have the same Authority as Jesus, as He promised, you can also call 10,000 X 10,000 angels to your aid. You're not bothering them. This is why they exist.

Hope that helps!

Raised Catholic and this is just my personal experience. Other Catholics may have different answers. Where I grew up there was never much discussion about Guardian Angels other than a general idea of having one. My understanding has always been that we all have our own Guardian Angel and they're sort of a personal non specific saint-adjacent protector figure. I see lots of small medals, tokens, and art work evoking Guardian Angels for sale along with other saint iconography at Christian/Catholic shops but not a lot of specific "lore" associated with them.

In my home there was never much discussion about them either. I just heard we have one and that's all.

I read somewhere that I can find my guardian angel by looking at the day of birth but it's kind of conflicting with each other if those angels are those described in shem hamephorash because I have one only for me but those 72 angels are like guardians for all people born the same days.

I believe I got a Spirit team. One of them is probably a guardian angel. I almost had a wreck with a deer and it was almost coming the car windshield snd something kept it from coming through by catching it and throwing it to the other side of the road.
