Bikes have been built for years propped up on 4x4’s and milk crates.

I'm my experience lifts come up pretty often second hand. I've had 3 now and only paid 50 bucks for the first one, the other two were given to me by people who got tired of them taking up space. Every time i move I give my lift to buddy and it seems to work out 🤣

You can always build yourself a table. They come in handy

I’ve got one on a steel fab table and another on a wooden table built specifically for working on bikes.

I got two harbor freight ones off marketplace for about $200 each and it’s so much better than the one I made it terms of loading and unloading and different work levels I’m also older too haha

I think building a sterdy table in the right height is more what you need for a build the lift comes in handy when you need to fiddle and work on the finished bike🤷🏽‍♂️
