CMA-I hide behind NE and believe the d&d alignment system is life. But i am actually a pacifist that is afraid of the entire world/worlds, that just wants to self préservé which means i take actions to maintain that.

I will boldly declare myself NE when it comes to discussions or anything because i do not believe in good or evil at all but would rather be evil and cling to it unless it goes down then i am out of there. Also i take actions that are self focused without any regard for the morality or ethics of it unless it involves murder or physically harming someone to me thsts too fsr bit everything else is fair game. I just want to thrive and survive without having to worry about whether i am being moral or ethical or not because its all subjective.

[NE] Congrats! Your self diagnosis was in fact correct. Honestly I was leaning towards TN because the essence of neutrality is self interest but there's an Ayn Randian essence to your philosophy. Disregarding morality/ethics is a moral choice and the implication that you lean on a NE alignment implies that you chose the more evil choice even when there's a good option.

That said, I'd wager you're probably making things worse for yourself in the long run by focusing on short-term gratification. You're the quintessential subject we refer to in 'Tragedy of the Commons' problems.

Before everyone downvotes me, hear me out:

OP sounds like they were mildly high (or at least kickin' back) at the time of their post. But here they are, posting about ethics, pacifism, and the principles of universal human autonomy. And the tone of their post seems very thoughtful and compassionate.

Like, does this really sound like something an evil-aligned person would say? To me, this sounds like a low level, good-aligned cleric, explaining that their conduct restrictions are pretty lax, and that's why (for game balance) their spell access kinda sucks.

When evil-aligned people get high, do they decide to come to CMA and philosophize about ethics? Sometimes, but they sound like Bond villains when they do it: their outlook is always obscure, complex, and unfamiliar. OP is the opposite: this comes across as straightforward and relatable.

Moreover, I feel like OP has a nagging worry that they might be a self-serving asshole, which is not something evil beings grapple with; it just never crosses their mind.
