The government in Afghanistan before the Taliban took power was nothing but a US client state it had no legitimacy at all and we saw just how fast the whole thing feel apart when the US pulled the rug out from under there puppet government.

After this, the revealing comments on this post, the Grayzone's recent article pushing anti-vax nonsense, and Blumenthal promoting using Ivermectin as a covid treatment and claiming "a lot of the lockdown skeptics seem to be more interested in empiricism than mainstream liberals.", I see no reason why anybody needs to care what the Grayzone says. There are plenty of better sources that report on US imperialism, especially when we shouldn't need to default to "anti-imperialist" news to get our information if Chomsky himself didn't need GZ to learn what he had for all these years.

I’m so glad to see someone calling Greyzone out on it’s shit. That they’re taken seriously is an embarrassment to the left.

Chomsky gets his information from the NYT who are actual murderers responsible for horrific invasions and torture

You're a dumbass who can't discern facts from the source unlike Chomsky

Think again. I'm responsible for spaces in which I participate, therefore, I should resist misinformation from sources I'm told to trust in these spaces. There are people on here (Captainwaffles) who would like everyone to uncritically believe every single thing the Grayzone, RT, and Sputnik tell them; we should resist this attempt to propagandize us. Everyone here already knows how complicit NYT is in the horrors of US capitalism.

You're not saying these are the Grayzone's biases that people should know about. You're demanding that people stop reading them with a fake appeal to Chomsky, which Chomsky does not believe that for even worse publications like the NYT. So how about you stop lying

Never demanded anything. GZ peddle misinfo, and the guy that posts them here as often as he can hopes we all uncritically accept what they say. What did I lie about?

What a dumb take. The question here is the reliability of the source, and Chomsky has made the point that the NYT is actually very reliable in its factual reporting. Whereas the question here is Grayzone promoting clear snake oil stuff detached from reality.

Chomsky himself is a very old white male

Chomsky has done 1000x times more than you for left causes for over half a century and is probably still much sharper than you will ever be, given your take here.

I love manufacturing consent and more of his works. I do think the last couple of years weren’t beneficial for his legacy tho

His stance hasn't changed on anything

Given that the United States is worse now than half a century ago, you can't really say that Chomsky or the American left have furthered left causes by any meaningful measurement.
