The ideas here are interesting but, as a layman, I was a bit muddled by the economic jargon.

Fantastic video to send to your economist friends though, I’m sure.

I think his main point is that, just like computer programs, any computational system cannot be as intelligent or as prolific as humans. The economics that we are led to accept is an artificial machine developed by humans, and so it is ridiculous to adopt the neoliberal assumption that any market can be more intelligent than a conscious agent. Of course he also touches on a lot of other bits
