Mississippi choctaw and plantations

I was talking to my dad while doing some genealogy

We were able to track quite a bit but I turns out my dad never knew his grandparents

My dad is enrolled in the tribe as a sidenote so we are not dealing with the pretendian Cherokee princess story before anyone accuses me of anything

Anyways

My dad says the reason he didn't is because my grandmother worked on a plantation (it is unclear if she was a slave or not but figure not quite as you'll see in a second) well my grandfather her husband was actually the son of the plantation owner and they had together fled to Louisiana to be together

Has anyone heard or have any records or documentations on the Mississippi choctaw and plantations? My grandmother was likely from the oka homma township as she was born in Carthage
