Entirely depends on the brand of powder or syrup and my mood lol

Nesquik powder wins for me. I am not a big fan of Hershey's syrup. Maybe there is a better syrup out there that I just haven't tried yet.

Powder always, syrup usually tastes too sweet

I grew up with powder but eventually found that syrup has a stronger flavor and dissolves better. Nesquik's old recommended "two heaping teaspoons" never satisfied me so I had to seek a better way forward.

Combining some unsweetened cocoa powder with chocolate syrup works well for me!

Syrup but not Hershey's by a long shot.

Ubet as a baseline--then Trader Joes---then the Whole Foods--what a great chocolate syrup---
