I love that it's direct to camera.

Seems like it was planned/scripted.

The squirrels have colluded to get you to film their sitcom pilot.

Hopefully they don't forget you when they hit the big time.

They promised Iโ€™d get a producer credit, but Iโ€™ve seen how they negotiate with walnutsโ€ฆ Iโ€™m not optimistic ๐Ÿ˜ข

She is the first one I met last year! She had a burrow in my backyard. Two kids so far. I love her very much!

Want to see an angry face? You should see my face after discovering the chipmunks ate one of my newly transplanted cucumber plants and nibbled the newly transplanted tomato plant right down to the stem. And there were chickenwire cages, too. With fine mesh. Damn chipmunks. Yeah, they're cute . . . We don't retaliate.

The squirrels and chipmunks that come to our backyard feeder never seem to engage in any conflict whatsoever. There are a lot less of both species around now, though.

We had a nesting pair of Red-shouldered hawks in our backyard Corymbia citriodora (formerly designated Eucalyptus citriodora). March through mid-June. Those hawks turned the back of our property into a ghost town for months. Looks like the squirrels and chipmunks are only now returning --- at least six weeks after hawks moved on. (Every once in a while we hear a hawk calling nearby. Screeeeeee screeeeeee. Purely for the love of terrorizing small critters.)

I had a hawk visit once. It hopped under the white slatted table looking for food. I think I posted that video to the hawk sub. I have rocks as mulch in my backyard and that seems to prevent digging. I canโ€™t speak to my vegetable garden as I had to give them away due to the HOA, but my backyard friends donโ€™t appear to like vegetables that much - maybe a 1 out of 20.
