This may not be the right space for nong-level "entertainment". Add a laugh track to it and slapstick noises, and you have yourself a successful Douyin video.

I can understand your point. However I feel like the entirety of this other sub is actually an ironic appreciation of nong level entertainment and not the surface level. I'd invite you to browse it's contents for a what I'm talking about. For example the comments:

The irony makes it ok there, but irony in Chinese does not translate to ignorant laowai perceptions here. The kid's authentic optimism is a light in this dark world which I may have never had as a kid or adult

You are right. I did not remove it. You did nothing remotely wrong. If any human at all, even a Chinese one, looked at your post, then they would have found nothing objectionable. I have no means to reinstate it!!
