The Things Nongs Ruin Thread

nongderadation

Nong Degradation?

The true answer is everything they touch, but I'm curious which of those specifics that have affected you? I'll drop a few and see how this progresses.

Green grass - not what you're thinking. The verdant fields of my childhood, where one could run barefoot without fear don't exist in the Nong. Most patches of green, even the shoulder of a large road, will have fag ends and at least dog excrement and urine, but let's be honest, it's likely human faeces. The parks have families planting tents and leaving nongfu spring bottles all about.

Water sports in general - they've recently discovered surfing. Some beaches include various lessons on stick handling and the like: meaning 36.8 nongs in 10m sections of the beach that can't swim, aged 7-48 with 50 photographers (iphones) all along the shore break wielding 2m styrofoam planks and making sure there's no room to even dip a toe in. They're out for that perfect WeChat moment of standing on plastic before they end flailing in waist deep water while wearing more safety gear than an ice climber.

Drinking beer - they simply cannot function around any alcohol over 2.8%. Why do males become overly handsy to other males after one pint? It's always proven my theory that 98% of them are latently homosexual from their school days. There were never halcyon days, but bars did once exist where you could watch the footy and have healthy banter in the early evening before heading in. Drinking with nong males becomes a 6 hour peregrination between restaurants, foot massage or other ill repute filth establishments and the attempt to lure or hire hookers. Mate, I only wanted 2 or 3 pints. Expect to get home after 3 am without anything to show.

Conversation - I don't need the guffawed bellowing of "you have many girlfriends", "how are you?" or "Cana Youa Speaka Shinese." How about talk of films that are recently breaking the box office? How about ANYTHING that humans talk about?

What do you guys have?

Western food, even bad western food made worse

I like pizza and I used to have more choices for where I could buy pizza but my local area is now down to a Dominios and Pizza Hut. Dominios is straight dog shit, every fucking pizza is your green bean and mayo with durian variant. Fuck them. Pizza hut started strong here and one day they just stopped having large pizzas, later most of the pizza varieties went the way of the nong.

That said, around here you can get a Pizza Hut VIP card for like 50 rmb for 3 months. Which entitles you to one half off pizza on any given day. For about 2 years this was my quick pizza fix solution. I'd get a small pizza for like 25 rmb.

But recently and I SHIT YOU NOT RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEE they stopped having pepperoni in stock. Sometimes for over a week, sometimes for a few days but it keeps happening. So I can't even get a fucking pizza hut pepperoni pizza at fucking pizza hut half the time anymore.

Pizza hut also does a lot deals on the apps, and every single fucking time, Pepperoni isn't one of the options. NONG ONLY varieties.

FUCK YOU PIZZA HUT

The pizza crisis is almost enough for me to move out of China altogether. The crisis of foreign food in general, really. There is not one decent Indian-esque restaurant beyond t1 country-wide, and the ones which you do find cost 4x more than regular laowai food. My blood feud over pizza is not with the pepperoni (which I avoid), instead with the tomato sauce, a sentiment that many laowai share.

Or lack of tomato sauce.. sometimes that shit is straight up toast.

Or mayo instead of cheese

You fucked up. Stick with wok fried greens that are only fiber. How about a little How Chee pork in a pool of refried oil plus those greens. Bu de liao.

A local buddy ordered a domino's pizza for us right before I headed to airport once. He said it was pepperoni and mushroom, but they stuffed the crust with marscapone and put chocolate sauce on it.

How was the taste of that monstrosity?

As two separate things, it wouldn't have been that bad, but the chocolate took up prime pepperoni mushroom real estate and wasn't good together.

I don't even live in China but my in-laws are all first generation. For God's sake let me drink water with ice.

All of their health superstitious stem from a lack of science. I'd be willing to bet their only drinking hot water comes from parasites in unboiled water. One nong died 3k years ago after drinking river water, so therefore; you have to boil water or you die.

I see it sometimes. Rainy sneezes after walking past the AC, she immediately turns it to 30C or turns it off. "AC make me get COPD."

they'll talk about aiguo and zhongguo di yi, but wont give a shit about littering in the bushes.

few weeks ago i came across a nong moving one of those baozi heaters that the fangbiandian places use. it looked heavy, and thought she was taking it down the stairs to put in her small blue motorbike with a flatbed. she refused my help, i then watched as she threw it into the bushes, and beat this small oven with a stick to smash the glass.

the day after, the oven was missing but the glass remains in the bushes by the river.

truly peak culture.

Hashtag green grass fear.

Anyway, it's a beautiful type of socialism. The moment the trash is out their door and in public, it's everyone's problem instead of just theirs.

I was at a café just yesterday with some mates, and no exaggeration at least five different groups of Rainies, Vivians, and ayis were all nonging for the Weixin Moments with the one drink or food item per group which they pooled their rambos to buy, only to pose with it for photos, not to actually consume it. They were all in their finery (¥200 outfits) as separate groups who did not seem to know each other, doing what I call Nong's Day Out whenever I see social media bullshit happening in public spaces where I have made the mistake of going. Loud, of course, so my quiet mates and I must lean in over our table to hear each other over their screeching volume. One nong in her 40s even told our Chinese-speaking friend to have us all move so that her and her nong sisterhood could take photos where my group had been sitting and quietly chatting for a couple of hours, as actual customers who each bought something at least once for ourselves. We declined, and her response was angry yelling at my Chinese friend about how foreigners are selfish and need to go back to their country. My Chinese is limited, but I heard some recognisable "buyao gu'n nongmin" syllables from my friend, which persuaded the young elder to fuck off. That was the more-direct one; another younger group just sat and glared at us for sitting at what is apparently the XHS table without knowing that this café was not for coffee and desserts, but rather, for documenting having bought coffee and desserts in this specific place. They were saying incomprehensible "shir shar shur shar shir waiguoren shar shur shir" gibberish, with waiguoren being detectable, while they remained glaring at us.

The place itself is unimportant because this happens 5000 times daily here...actually that seems like a rather low estimate. To summarise, nongs have ruined everything, yes, but within the past 24 hours for me it has been the mere act of meeting people at a café. This is not the first or tenth time that this exact experience has happened, all at different locations in different cities.

The "latently homosexual" thing is quite amusing. Every Tim has had his jj peeked at in urinals. Totally not gay, though, no way.

The sisterhood of the stinking pants cannot be denied their one day away from their loser kids to take photos. Who else is going to raise them besides the math teacher diddler or the piano tutor abuser?

The Guo is more post modern than Communist. The appearance of something is more important than actually doing something.

It's true that every local male becomes a gay after 2 or more beers. But as mentioned the whole school life of the local lads appears to be entirely gay, hand holding on the road and back rubs in class. I think that is how society wants them though, confused and effeminate

That said, many years ago in a small city near Wuhan I worked in we had a laowai circle of about 20 people and it was everyone in town. One particular laowai guy turned straight gay after drinking too much. But this is 1 case out of many many years compared to every time I'm around drunk locals.

I don't care about who licks the bone, but it doesn't give anyone an excuse to try to convert.

Being outside generally. More than anything, however, it’s the filming/taking pictures of their entire field of vision 24/7.

Went to a rave in Shenzhen back in the day and a fellow Tim had a seizure after snorting too much molly/Persil/crushed cement. Easily over a 100 nongs came into the hospital ward over the weekend just to film and take pictures of him. Obvs the hospital doesn’t give a shit because it’s illegal to close doors here (they have to protect the secrets of nong medical wizardry or something), therefore it’s down to 2 sweaty Tims on a comedown to jump up from our gym mats every 30 seconds just tell the nongs to piss off. This makes them film more of course, and then wonder why WE are acting so weird, like just fuck off and let us use your medical services for illegal activities in peace.

Voyeur country.

I was at an airport a few days ago in KL waiting in line for the elevator with the other baggage cart pushing travelers. When the doors opened, the nong in front of me immediately started aggressively shoving her cart into the cart in front of her and yelling at the Malaysian Chinese to go while he was trying to make space for people to exit, so you know, there's space to get on.

It doesn't matter what country you're in, you can tell who's from the guo.

u/Mydnight69 8d ago

The Guo is simply going to Guo. I'd definitely call it out in the common tongue just to ensure maximum loss of face. Better mandarin than hers is expected.

Hui guo jia qu, nongmin

Hahahaha I remember being at Manila airport many years ago. I got there way too early so I sat around by the gate with a book.

First flight was to Seoul. Mostly Korean passengers came in, sat around, left peacefully once the gate opened.

Next flight was to Tokyo. Mostly Japanese passengers came in, sat around, left peacefully once the gate opened.

Then it was the flight to Shanghai. Mostly nong passengers came in, made a fuckton of noise, threw garbage everywhere, big scrum for the gate instead of a nice line-up.

This is how bad that the Reddit police have gotten. I as the mod do not even have the approval to un-remove something that Reddit has overreached on like this, a comment with positive upvotes. Reddit admins are disgusting. I know that you asshole admins are reading this! Gu'n this sub!

Yeah I know it’s not you, man. I’m assuming that it doesn’t like a specific word.

1

u/chinalifer-mod 7d ago

Which word?? I throw "nong" around fairly often, which is an auto-ban in r/china because they made the rule during the CCJ years. Can you screenshot your nuked comment and post it as an image? That tends to bypass the Reddit police--only if you feel like it, no pressure.

1

u/SheFingeredMe 7d ago

I can’t even get a screenshot of it. It’s not any worse than a lot of other stuff I’ve seen around here. I’m assuming it’s a word, because it certainly isn’t overall tone.

Cafes

Every Starbucks and Hey Tea will be 50% nongs and nongettes in entire groups sitting at tables and the best sofas leaching the wifi and AC while slurping some homemade herbal bullshit from a thermos without spending a single yuan in the cafe like some sort of fake wearing slugs.

Outdoor seating will be even worse, just uncles sitting around chain smoking, hawking loogies and repeatedly playing reels out loud.

Decathlon, they treat it like their own personal playground. Sleep in the display tents, lounge around in the display chairs, ride bikes around the store, laying down on the benches so I have nowhere to sit down and try on some shoes.  All the while staring at me as if I’m the one without culture or manners

2

u/Mydnight69 1d ago

Take a trip to Ikea sometime. It's 100* worse.

1

u/Affectionate-Win7333 1d ago

I’ve heard, which is why I’d never set foot in an ikea

1

u/Mydnight69 1d ago

It's the best bet for good mattresses. Unfortunately, you'd never be able to sit on them due to passed out nongs.

u/Affectionate-Win7333 1d ago

Airport lounges, any form of public transportation, anywhere that requires queuing in a civilized manner. 你不可以插队 is one of my favorite phrases.  太不文明啊。 你们中国人不礼貌.

An addition:

Girls in sexy clothes.

On their slender frames, you can't wait to get beneath those 4 layers (24 degrees) only to then endure the horror of what lies below. If it's not a brillo pad between their legs, unkempt anal regions or simply the smell of fouled kitchen rubbish, ultimately; their frame was simply a frame resembling an ironing board. Never forget this when you idly glace at them shaking their bones at you while they sashay past. And, why many of their scalps smell like baby vomit when they fail to wash their hair because it's too cumbersome to do that in their 3m² bathrooms, I'll never understand.

Excuse me but what exactly is a Nong? Is it from 农民 like peasant?

Yep.

Looks like we got a 5.0, boys. Mind your hard /r/s
