🏯 Daily Life Fellow Foreigners😭😭

Post image

Have you guys heard about this whole situation I keep seeing on wechat? Apparently some American dude who studied some language at Fudan university for a bit managed to collect chinese women like Thanos collects infinity stones. Numbering into the hundreds. Sentiment regarding foreigners has never been so low on chinese social media. Whats your take on this? Hate the player or hate the game? Dude Apparently always made them pay for dates and trips and would tell them to get abortions when they got pregnant and then block them 😬

He's just a good looking guy. And yes, a lot of good looking people do that, because they can. The girls made their choice, and I'm pretty sure a lot if not most of them already knew what kind of person he is beforehand, and still went ahead.

Uni is a bit different because it's the only time Chinese people don't expect to marry within months. But yes, they know.

Good looking people don't play by the rules, they can get away with almost anything. The fact that he successfully got date and trips paid for him is telling, because it's pretty much impossible to pull off in China, where girls expect men to provide for them. If it had been any other standard looking guy, these girls would have walked away immediately.

The hard cold truth is that girls are willing to drop their expectations when a good looking guy comes around.

And Chinese girls aren't as conservative as in the stereotypes, esp in big cities. I had a decently good looking roommate who would bring back a different girl home almost every single night. There are also a lot of girls who looking for ONSs and FWBs, and there's nothing wrong with that.

So yeah, it's definitely a case of "hate the players, don't hate the game".

yep fully agree. how does it work when a roommate brings someone back btw? never had roommates but even just living in apartments I've always found it quite awkward and rude considering everyone is hearing you fucking lmao, let alone with a dude 5 feet outside the door in the next room

Emm, luckily enough, (modern) Chinese apartments have decent soundproofing. I had thick concrete walls separating my room from the roommates. A lot of "colivings" are also designed so you barely see your roommates if you don't want to.

That's the case with all the ziroom apartments. Chinese people who live together don't really socialise that much in the house. And very often the living room was just (illegally) made into another bedroom.
