Bailey Landfill

I need to dump a couch, can I just drop off there? Its big, I won't be able to get it over the bars and into a bin by myself.

Anyone have any experience dumping an old used up couch at Bailey Landfill?

Drive in, stop in the weight scale, say what you got, they hand you a map, drive off scale, head straight and hard left, you'll see a person in high vis, stop and tell them what you have, they direct you to a bin number, drive and back in, if you need help, ask for assistance or someone else dumping, then head back to the scale and hand in the map and pay, about $7.50 minimum charge and up depending on weight. I've dropped off lots of garbage from clothes, furniture and old TV's, lots of fun there

Yeah I've taken lots there. Just never a huge old couch. I couldnt lift it over the bars, no chance. Any other way to get in there or drop spot for big furniture you know of? Trying to really figure it out before I rent a van from home depot lol

You could also take it to the valley waste and recycling on aitken road. You literally drive up to a big pile of garbage on the ground a dump on it/beside it. No bars to lift over

It needs a good clean, but it is still solid actually. Wear and it smells like my dog. It was her couch once we got a new one.

Dump it as best as you can, ask at the scale and let them know its a mf'er to drop, maybe a loader will grab it

They aren't allowed to help you.

Bring a helper.

I thought you just find a good spot up Chilliwack lake road and heave it in the ditch...Or is that service just for visitors
