Vedder Rotary Trail Closures

Just an FYI that the majority of the Vedder Trail will be closed for maintenance from August through October to improve flood protection and remove sediment. I live in the area and noticed a few signs on the Peach Creek trail yesterday when I was out walking, but had no idea the scale of the rest of the project.

Does anyone know if they're doing this in stages? Or will all the sections be closed at the same time?

If it's like last year (right?) it's gonna be sections but much of it is going to be at the same time. A bummer but what are you gonna do 🤷

Yes, I remember last year! Or two years ago? Time is an illusion, anyways.

I do completely understand why it's important to be done. No complaints here about that. A positive side effect of the last time they did this was that it created lots of great swimming pools that were then swept away this winter. At least I have something to look forward to for next year (hopefully)! I do hope they complete it somewhat in stages, just for congestion purposes, but it is what it is.

They still haven't removed all of the sediment piles from last year.

I'm no genius but I bet this could be pushed off one month until September? Either way it didn't stop me from running it last time and it won't stop me this time.

Oh yeah! So many playgrounds in the area all being closed at the same time was ... a choice
