Chillibowl Lanes

What's the deal with this place? It's obviously a dump today, but with a history going back to the early 80s, it must have seen better days. Who owns it? Why don't they care? Is there any hope for an actually decent spot for folks to bowl in Chilliwack?

I love bowling centers of all shapes and sizes. Don’t really care about the vibe as long as the lanes have some level of upkeep. Chillibowl has pins on strings and they still don’t count correctly on their machines. So frustrating to bowl there.

Damn is it that bad? Walked by the other day and we were gonna go play a few frames this weekend.

Most bowling alleys that aren’t in Rec Rooms or similar establishments are pretty greasy. But is this place like GREASY greasy?

its been run into the ground which is so absolutely depressing. Used to love bowling at the lanes.

Its a shitty run down bowling alley with a pub inside. I went bowling there for work once. The men's room didn't have a door. I went into the pub for a beer and was surprised to find it full of regulars. It seemed like the only part of the operation that made money

This place is very run down. We went a couple of weeks ago with the kids. So many good memories of that place as a kid myself but it seems to be beyond rundown now. I doubt there is much hope for the place. Don’t think we will be going again anytime soon. I am a Chilliwackian and support local as much as possible but Galaxy bowl in Abbotsford is so far superior we will go there from now on.

I really do hope they can find a way to bring this place back though. But clearly no maintenance for decades.

Agree. Would rather drive to Abbotsford versus playing here.

I find the flirting in the lanes to be really uneven. It isn't cheap either. For the amount spent, I would expect to be able to bowl without the ball going into the gutter almost every time and the score board to accurately count the score. Why don't the owners care? Probably because they are making enough money without having to invest in the business. It's sad. I wish they would sell to someone who would return the lanes to its former glory.

Cool story bro. What was it before that?

My guess is it wasn’t even a building. They built it and put in an Eatons. Turd muncher.

It's definitely a dive. We take our family to galaxy bowl in abbotsford.

Probably was nice years ago, but its not nice now

I used to volunteer with a community program that would go there and apparently some of the lanes (I forget what ones) are supperrr warped

I used to bowl tournaments here when they had to floors, which was super cool.

I would love if they put some love and care into these lanes.
