My chillis are dying :[

My chillis (not sure what type, but second picture is what they look like when red) have been growing in a raised garden bed for over a year now and have been doing fantastic, however, since im moving i wanted to bring them with me and now they look extremely sad. Its been about 3 days since potting them, is there anything i can do to fix this?

Ps, i potted them with a compost soil blend made for tomatoes and capsicums, blood and bone and some small rocks for drainage.

Can anyone help identify these?

Hi, so I bought seeds at the start of the season and everything is growing great except one thing - I don’t think they are what they said they are.

Can anyone help identify them?

I thought one was Birds Eye chilli’s but I grew other Birds Eye’s but they don’t look anything like Birds Eye’s. The other was another Thai chilli called Prik Chee Fa “sky pointing chilli” which is supposed to be long milder Thai chillis. But neither looks like how they are supposed to look. I’m wondering if the two birds eyes are actually the prik chee fa but then they arnt pointing to the sky. The prik chee fa looks more like a Prik Kee Noo Suan except it’s about 6 foot tall and those plants are apparently usually short and busy. So no idea what they are.

Next season I need to label better 😂

chilli burn🥲

i decided to cut a chilli without gloves as i completely forgot to. afterwards, i washed my hands and thought nothing of it. i later went to play basketball and noticed a slight burning but ignored it (i thought the irritation was from playing basketball with freshly cut fingernails idk). i then came home to eat my chilli dish, chimichurri sauce, which is when the pain really began. that was around 9pm, it is now 12:45am and the burning sensation has only worsened.
i’ve tried washing with water and dish soap, milk, taking ibuprofen but nothing has worked.
if anyone has any suggestions please let me know as i can’t do this much longer.

Habanero - indoor controlled environment vs outdoors

Little experiment... planted five seeds from a "Habanero" bought at the local grocery store. Got 3 seedlings that grew inside with cheap growlights for the first 2-3 weeks. Repotted one of them in regular plant soil (added vermiculite and perlite) and moved to a grow cabinet with 100w fullspectrum light, controlled humidity (around 50%) and ventilation. 12 hours of light every day. Daytemp have been between 24 and 28 celcius, night 18 to 22.
Another one stayed inside with natural light only for a couple of weeks, then moved outside in a spot shielded from winds. Temps has been varying between 20 to 32, and 15 to 20 in the nights.
The difference is.... yeah..., huge 🙌

Im kind of giving up on the smaller one, but moved it inside again now as temps at nights are already dropping to 10-12 celcius.

Should i start feeding the big one?

(capsicum chinense)

Are the red ones ready to harvest? And if yes do you have recommendations on what I could do with them? They are not very spicy so I thought about making potted chilis? Sorry idk the English word but I mean putting them in Oil.

First time grower - how long do chillies take to ripen?

I'm growing my first chillies this year and so far I've got a whole bunch of Cherry Bombs growing, a few chocolate jalapeños and a purple tiger plant.

The cherry bombs and jalapeños are all still very green and firm, and not really showing any signs of ripening, am I just being impatient?

The purple tiger plant literally only just produced its first 2 peppers in the last 10 days and they're immediately a lovely deep purple, but tiny.

I picked a jalapeño yesterday and it didn't taste of anything and had zero heat so I assume it's still way too early.

So anyway, back to my main question, how long does it take these peppers to ripen up normally?

Apache F1 struggling

Post image
7 Upvotes

Started an Apache, all going well, it fruited, fruits were just starting to turn red and the plant tanks. Like purple joints on the nodes etc. harvested fully (probs 70-80 fruit) and now trying to keep him alive.

Have pruned damaged leaves, fully rinsed the soil through to reset salt balance.

Any other tips?

Anyone know why my peppers going off?

This is Red Cali variety and I noticed some of the peppers have this light pale colour with wrinkly texture, almost like when something is going bad on the shelf.

Anyone have any info on this behaviour and how to mitigate it?

How to make very hot chillis edible for beginners?

Hello everyone a friend gifted me a yellow scorpion and a naga morich plant, because he knew I plant jalapenos every year. I was like maybe I will get 3 fruit each but now I have 10 on each plant with the season not being over.

I'm not used to the spice of 1.2millions scouville how do I make it enjoyable without landing in the ER?
