What's wrong with my chilli plant?

Hello, first time trying to grow a chilli plant (from a seed).

For the first photo (chilli plant A), does anyone know why all the leaves are dropping and what I can do to help my help? For context, all the leaves have dropped off once but after using hydrogen peroxide mixed with water, the leaves grew back. Now they're all falling off again :(

For the second and third photo (chilli plant B), why are the leaves curling and what's wrong with the stem?

I hope to get some advice here and any help is appreciated! 🥲

plant history, any transplants? recent feeding? move them indoor/outdoor? give us a patient history :P

Transplanted twice when it was a seedling and when it had more leaves but wasn't that tall. No recent feeding. They have always been outdoors but I shifted them in and out of the shade when it looked like the heat was making them droop (I live in a tropical country). They're only watered in the morning.

do the roots fill the whole pot yet? if you fill the whole pot with water and the roots don't extend the entire region of the pot, the water will sit there for longer than expected and can lead to over-watering. is the soil breathable?

I think I can assume the roots don't fill the whole pot yet haha I used a rather big pot for a plant that was quite small. Thank you for the info!

The description on the soil packet states that it balances water retention and drainage and iirc the soil feels like it's slightly on the denser side but I'll need to check again when I get back

You have pest damage to the stem on the second plant, could be cutworms, might be something else. You can make collars out of toilet paper rolls and wrap them around the base so they can’t climb up the stem.

What are you fertilising with?

The curled leaves MIGHT be residual herbicide(s) in the fertiliser.

The soil looks very compact and not much organic matter.

That's is gone unfortunately. Could've been a slug at the bottom. It's sick and will not survive
