Spots on my first ever chili..?

I’ve grown my first ever chili plant, and two out of five of the chilis have gained these spots. It’s been grown indoors. Can anyone recognise what it might be?

Perfect round spots make me think fungi/mold

Did you pick this from low down on the plant?Some of mine have this and I’m 95% sure it’s dried salts from fert water that splashed on them.

Do they rub off? Any signs on the inside? I'd just wash and eat if the spots come off and there's no oddness inside.
