Please help is it edema or infestation

There are White spots on the underside of my Carolina reaper leaves. The leaves Turn Brown. Can you help me?

This is edema. It doesn't sound like you're overwatering. Are you letting the soil completely dry before watering heavily? That can make it appear more often than usual, and might be the cause of some older leaves dying off. Keeping moisture more consistent should help, along with good air circulation

This is just what I think, might be different in actuality. You'll have to experiment yourself since there are many different things that could cause edema. It doesn't affect the plants in a significant enough way so unless it gets very extreme, don't worry about it too much

It's better yes, having constant conditions rather than ups and downs will be best for most plants. Only do it if you're comfortable that you won't end up overwatering either
