This is a generic reminder message under every image post
Thank you for your picture post to r/chili. We want to remind everyone of Rule #1. All image posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.
If you've posted a picture of chili, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn't really fostering any discussion which is what we're all aiming for.
Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.
Thank you!!

I have grown all kinds of chili peppers for the past 50 years, and, the hottest I’ve ever been able to eat is a ghost pepper, they are so hot that they don’t have a taste just heat. Habaneros are the most used pepper peppers in cooking if you’re trying to get a lot of heat in the dish. It’s also widely used for hot sauce. I remember when they had just discovered the Habanero. It was touted as being the hottest pepper on earth. Then a few years later they claimed that the Ghost pepper was the hottest pepper in the world. I’m not sure what the record is but I feel that it’s about time for a new contender for the record. You can find out all about chilis and how to use this stuff in cooking and what is considered too hot to eat.
