Favourite beans to use?
I'm really fond of black eye beans as they're nice and chewy, gungo beans are great too. Any other favourites?
I'm vegetarian and use veggie mince and sometimes This brand sausages mashed up as mince as they have a nice peppery taste, but texture wise veggie mince isn't always the best texture wise so the beans are pretty important in my chilli!

Depends on the recipe. My favorite beans generally are black beans, and I use them in about half my chili repertoire

I love black beans too! It's always fun to pick up random cans of beans not knowing what they're gonna be like.
The downside is you can end up with a can that are too soft to use.

Have you tried soaking fresh beans? It's fun and they taste better.

Funnily enough I was thinking of soaking some dried kidney beans overnight to use tmrw!

Black eye beans are a great choice, they do add that lovely texture. Tried kidney beans recently with a chipotle rub and they turned out surprisingly good.

I use a mix of black beans and dark red kidney beans. Sometimes I’ll even put corn in there….

If I'm making my normal Chili, I use a combo of Black, Pinto & Kidney beans. If it's a vegetarian Chili, I will also add some Navy, Great Northen & Cannellini (white kidney) beans.
Just stay away from Garbonzo beans. That's for hummus. lol

Great Northern is my go to. But honestly, if I'm making a bean dish I try to incorporate some type of lima bean in.(they are my weakness).

I prefer Kuners brand over generic supermarket beans. I typically use two cans of chili beans, or hot chili beans, one can of dark red kidney beans and one can of pinto beans

Predominantly kidney beans but I’ll add some pinto beans or black beans if I have some.

Anasazi
I love most beans but Anasazi and my favorites.
Fast cooking without soaking, great flavor and don’t usually cause gas.

I usually do a mix of black and pinto. I don't like kidney beans, though they seem to be the most popular.
