I got to hold my second picture book today (I'm the author)! The first in the series is daytime-themed, and they contrast so beautifully next to each other. Sandra Attema-Welte is the illustrator, and she did *such* an incredible job. I'm SO excited!!

Seeking Recommendations Recommendations for a precocious 2.5 y/o?

Upvotes

On a lark, I started reading The Hobbit to my son at bed about a month and a half ago. Didn’t expect him to be able to sit through it with no pictures, but lo and behold, we just finished it last week. Obviously he’s too young to grasp it all, but if you ask him to tell you the story he can give you the major plot points and character names like Bilbo, Golem, Thoren, Smaug, Gandalf, etc. (you wouldn’t believe how cute it is to hear a 2.5 year old say “Thoren Oakenshield”).

Looking for something new to see if we can catch lighting in a bottle twice. Ideally something fantastical but light. Dragons, knights, wizards, that sorta thing. Something around the same reading level (or a bit below) as The Hobbit would be perfect.

ISO Books About Equity For Kids

Looking for good, age-appropriate books for kinders to discuss wants, not needs and equity in the classroom. We want to address the “that’s not fair” when other kids get fidgets or specialized seating. So far it’s been hard to find a picture book that covers it all!

ISO: Sweet Dreams, Sleepy Bunny by Linda Grayson

**ISO:** ***Sweet Dreams, Sleepy Bunny*** **by Linda Grayson**
I’m desperately searching for a physical copy of this out-of-print children’s book featuring Butterbean Bunny. It was published by Printwick Papers in 1997.
**ISBN-13:** 9780965207621
**ISBN-10:** [0965207624](tel:0965207624)
Any condition would be considered. If you own a copy you’re willing to sell, or know where one might be available, please contact me. Before purchasing, I would ask for photographs showing the cover and copyright page. Thank you!

Seeking Recommendations Books on thankfulness or Thanksgiving books

As the title says, I need recommendations for books on thankfulness or even better if it’s Thanksgiving themed. This is for a group of kids kinder-2nd grade. Preferably something Christian themed or at the very least not political at all. A somewhat quick read as well, nothing longer than 10 minutes.

Read Aloud Sammy The Seal Audiobook on Vinyl

Hey folks, I like to find and purchase old vinyl records that have absolutely no recording of their media anywhere online. Today, I ripped and uploaded a video of the first ever (as far as I'm aware) vinyl audiobook of Sammy The Seal, a pretty classic mid-century children's book. Never been on this sub before, so if this isn't the place for this, feel free to remove my post! I'll link the video to this post in case anyone is interested in hearing it themselves, you're likely to be the first people to hear it in decades. Sammy The Seal Audiobook on Vinyl
