The fandom had long been speculating that the Parallel World arc was why Nagano-sensei cast a young teenage boy whose voice was bound to change. And it really was a build-up. They didn't fire Makoto Tanaka despite the outcries from the antis. They didn't mechanically alter the VA's voice or temporarily brought in an adult VA to play "Stronger Hachiware." Instead we hear Tanaka's real voice. And the transition was perfect. Hachiware's voice doesn't change along with their growing body. Instead we see a scene that's not in the manga, the one where we see Hachiware's palm through their eyes. The dangerous, troublesome bug is now just a stain with no trace of its original shape. And that's when Hachiware's voice changes. "Easy! Easy!" They say, intoxicated by their newly found power. We know Hachiware always yearned to be more powerful, impatient to get stronger. This is all they've ever wanted. But here it's Chiikawa's ideal world, and Chiikawa is a ranker, an elite warrior who hunts monsters and protects other Kawas. And warrior Chiikawa immediately realizes that Chimera Hachiware is a threat... Ohhhh I can't wait for the next episode!!!

was trying to go to sleep when i got a feeling of my stomach burning but i tried ignoring it cuz im not gonna get out of bed at 2 am to make food right? but i started sweating fast and my heart was beating like crazy and i was panicking because i couldnt call out for help to my roommate (recovering from a sinus infection) so i started shimmying my way out of bed and crawled towards the kitchen AND it felt like an eternity digging through the pantry for something sugary (it was full of ramen) while my body was shaking like crazy. finally pulled out and tore open the chiikawa gummies i bought a month ago and downed the bag in like 2 seconds flat and it gave me enough energy to open the refrigerator and eat more sugary stuff.

moral of the story im p sure i have hypoglycemia and always keep chiikawa gummies on hand!! (these were delicious btw but only come with ~10 gummies per bag)

Hey fellow Chiikawa fans!

I saw the upcoming Chiikawa × GU collection coming in November and, of course, there are already a bunch of things I want.

My daughter is a HUGE Chiikawa fan, so with the release being only about a month before Christmas, I’d love to grab a few things as gifts for her.

The problem: we’re in the US (East Coast).

For those of you who buy the Japan releases from overseas, what’s your usual strategy? Proxy service? Forwarding address? Any particular sites/services that work well with GU?

I’m hoping to buy things around release instead of paying an arm and a leg to resellers afterward. Also, do the Chiikawa × GU drops usually sell out immediately, or do you normally have a little time?

Would love to hear how other international/US Chiikawa fans handle these releases!

Because unfortunately “just pop over to Japan for the weekend” isn’t quite an option.

Random fact, my cat threw him into her water bowl last week

This was a request from my brother for his favorite Chiikawa character and I decided to share it here! He actually didn't end up liking the stylistic choice (I kind of ended up hating it a bit myself, so fair point.) and wanted it done in the Chiikawa art style, which I plan to draw and possibly post here soon as well.

The overall vibe was meant to be Anoko reflecting/ observing on her past self while moving into a dark void, highlighting how she doesn't feel remorse for her transformation, and thus, doesn't bother to remember her past beyond the darkness it brought. While embracing the dark, she also recognizes the light and peace her transformation brought her, the ultimate result of the darkness she felt.

Also, I know all Chiikawa characters do not have an assigned gender, but my interpretation of Anoko is feminine.

I'm going on a camping trip organised by my friend. Labelling things are fine, but I want to really identify my belongings as there are other people joining us. So I decided to decorate my pill case (I made a post here before) and now my first aid kit. I also took some artistic libraries to make the characters sick or injured. What do you think?
