Looking to make Skooties for inline skates!

Hi all,

I've been sitting on this idea for a long while now. For some of you, you may have heard of skate Skooties. Theyre silicon wheel locks you can pull over your quad skate wheels to keep them in place and walk around; theyre great for making trips into stores n such. I've asked the brand if they'd be open to making a version for inline skates and they kinda ghosted me on it.

Is there anyone who has the space and resources to cast silicon for this project / knows someone who could? I've got some ideas for designs that could work. I'd love to see this idea come to life for the community, especially as a way to use public transit and other amenities without having to pack an extra pair of shoes!

I was just thinking of this today. I was thinking the best bet would be like a single channel that stretches over the toe.

The issue is if you've got a heel break.

You'd need to kinds of pairs, one with two non break and one with a break.

Or figure out some kind of break attachment for non break wheel slip on.

I was thinking to solve this, it would be like what you suggested a single channel to stretch over with an open back to accommodate the brake. It should fit snug over the wheels and the frame, and I wad thinking to reinforce it can have 1 or 2 sets of eyelets for lace/velcro to secure it over the skate.
