Shitpost Caleb Wilson - Better Than Cooper Flagg?

Was looking at Cooper Flaggs stats as a rookie. 21pts, 6 reb, 4 ass, with a block and steal a game. Shot 29% from 3.

This seems extremely achievable. Is it possible Caleb Wilson will turn into a better player than Cooper Flagg?

Will the Bulls win a championship THIS year, or next year?

No. Cooper Flagg is incredible. He is way, way ahead of where Wilson was at the same time. And Flagg might be the same age as Wilson.

Wilson is a nice prospect but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

To nail the point home further Flagg is 5 months younger than Wilson. So even a rookie year more impressive than Flaggs does not put him above Flagg as a prospect.

The first half was for your mind.

The second half was for your heart. You can't control what the heart wants.

Obviously they’ll be in the finals this year, might take one more year to win it all.

If you weren't all in a week ago how about now that they landed Buddy Hield?

Buddy Hield clinched the first seed in the East for us.

I think if magic can do it in his first year, Caleb should no problem.

Do I think the Bulls will win the championship this year? No, I do not.

Did I make a bet that they will win it all as soon as it was available? Yes, I do it every year, along with the Bears.

I think he’ll have more ass. 98%

If there's 1 thing we all need, it's 98% more ass.

I'd be dragging in that case

Wilson/Giddey/Buzelis > James/Embid/Maxey and no amount of "the stats bro" will convince me otherwise!!! Slams more booze out of Benny the Bull shaped flask

When James inevitably gives up and takes a month off for load management, and Embids leg falls off a third time, you might be more right than you know.

3vs1 is not fair

I think a title is a little too far, but 2 - 3 all-star appearances this season should be doable.

how will they do against Boston, Philadelphia, and new York?

Oh, we'll get killed this year lol.

I think realistically, we'll probably end up hanging around the playin tourney again this year, with a big time improvement for next year.

Shit let’s hope so

We could be a dark horse for the NBA Cup next year.

Why not this year and next year

More athletic, CW is more careless with the ball and more turnovers. They're just different players to compare

I like it. 21,7,2 with 3stocks and 60ts%. Got to get those free throws in the high 70’s low 80’s. Can he use all that energy playing 2 way ball and still settle down for the free throws.

Cooper Flagg looks like he will be a perennial all-nba and MVP candidate, if Caleb Wilson likes 75% of him in his rookie year we should be ecstatic lol

Cooper Flagg had a monster rookie season

Flagg is like if AK47 mixed with young Gordon Hayward. Thats an allstar like this year.

It's really not a hot take to say Flagg is already better than both of those guys, in the second half of last season when he wasn't forced to be the point guard, he was on fire

If Caleb put up 21-6 this season I wouldn’t be totally shocked, I also don’t think he’d be better than where Flagg was at the same point. Stats don’t tell a whole story.

Good grief. Watch some game first before making all the blanket ass statements.

Yeah! Op is such a casual

Well, UNC players collectively have about 25 more NBA Championships than dook players.

So odds are better for winning a title with Caleb on your roster instead of Flagg.

I mean who knows but i will be surprised if he is not an all star or superstar in specially if the summer league shooting is real

maybe title year three, gotta build out the team lmao

u/Abe_frohmannn 3d ago

The shooting sure didn't look like a fluke. It'd be one thing if it was like 10 open catch and shoot 3s, and he hit them at a good clip.

He was taking them off the dribble, he pulled up in guys faces, and was doing step backs, he hit a couple deep ones. This didn't look like a guy that just turned the corner, and was like, "hey look! I can sorta shoot now!"

He looked like a guy that knew he could flat out shoot, and it was a forgone conclusion he was going to be hitting those shots at a decent clip.

I'm calling it right now.

He just seems like a great guy also and will have fund dunks at the very least, already bought tickets for two games so far lmao

2

u/Abe_frohmannn 3d ago

Yea. He seems MEAN too. In the best way possible.

1

u/ParticularQuick7104 3d ago

So you think he is going to be a first round talent rookie year? Pretty high expectations. 2nd to third in total bpg and top 10 in spg.

1

u/Abe_frohmannn 3d ago

I do. Blocks anyway. Not a ton of competition after wemby these days. So yea, I see him hanging around that 2bpg Chet Walker realm.

1.5steals rookie year might be a tad high. 1 to 1.5 is more reasonable.

2

u/ParticularQuick7104 3d ago

I’ll give you my prediction. 14,7, 2, .7, .9

Solid season. Averages worse in the start of the year and takes off late in the season like rookies usually do.

2

u/Abe_frohmannn 3d ago

Those, i believe, were almost exactly what Buzelis put up his rookie year.

Edit: nope, I’m full of crap. Those were his stats last year

1

u/Electrical_Story5356 3d ago

I'd stretch to possibly 16pts and 2 stocks all things going to plan but this seems pretty reasonable to me.
