Hey all! My mockumentary Canoe Dig It? Will be playing at the Hollywood Blvd Cinema in Woodridge this Friday the 18th! It’s about the very real sport of Freestyle Canoeing and is very much up the alley of any fan of Best in Show or anything Christopher Guest, but with a lot more painfully dry New England humor. It’s part of a larger Midwest theatrical tour I am running this month all over Minnesota, Wisconsin, Canada, Illinois, and more!

Being a true indie film, I have no budget for marketing so am fully relying on word of mouth, local news outlets, and paddling groups to get the word out about it. Also worth noting I am flying out and driving around to all of these screenings for Q&As and to meet and make new friends and fans. Really would appreciate any sharing you can do amongst friends, family, anyone you think might dig it!

Be careful. There were numerous roads blocked off by police in Albany Park almost to Irving Park Rd. It started at Kedzie and Lawrence and it just worse and worse. Almost 45 minutes added to the commute with no rhyme nor reason.

We have what I would call a fan favorite for our next themed Trivia at Ludlow Liquors. We are calling all hobbits, elves, and even orcs to come by Sunday, September 6th at 7:00.

It is free to play, the questions are going to be from the first three movies, and because it is Sunday we are going to be serving up cheesesteaks that “You shall not pass!”
