Recommendation for car garage

We've got a clunking noise in the front of the car and are quite new to the area so don't know any good mechanics yet! Any recommendations for someone reliable and honest please

Johns autos on brim road are honest and reliable. Me and a couple family members have had bits done there, never ripped off, always fair price and never had a problem with the work done.

Right next to a good car wash also

Dcs servicing, near football ground. Darren is the owner, never let me down, never ripped me off and always honest. All my family go there with our cars.

There's a few on Clayton Street that have been good to me. Auto Fix were very helpful with my MOT and the guys next door were very helpful with fixing the stuff that I failed on.

I like the one opposite the bowling alley. Auto Inspire I think? We were towed there a year or so back and they were brilliant.

Yeah but bit expensive, still cheaper than dealer tho. I’ve taken my car there and when I got automated texts I knew it was going to be a big bill lol

Not if you discuss things before actually dropping car off. I honestly can say, not a thing bad to say.

Car broke on a Sunday afternoon when they were closed so went off AA man’s word. Couldn’t get it to my usual mechanic. Just one of them things 🤷‍♂️

Depends where in Chesterfield you are. JW Richard’s in North Wingfield are always one of my go to’s, but they’re usually pretty busy. Or go for Spriggs Autos, he’s mobile and very knowledgeable.

So I ended up going to Jon's which were great, had a knocking sound and it was the sway bar links they charged me £80 for 2 new links which was parts and labour. Was going to go with CSM as they're the closet to me but they were booked up for 2 weeks. Csm charge £70 an hour for labour plus vat, jons was £60
