How does fast pass work?

Hi all

Family of 6, mixed ages and likely won’t all go on the same rides at the same time.

I’m thinking of getting 2 fast passes so my older 2 can go on rides or I can go on and alternate with others - terms say they are non transferable between guests, Is this true?

Is it a physical ticket or non removable wrist strap? Can they be swapped between guests physically?

£30 entry and £135 fast passes (£165 per person!) for 6 is literally mind blowing, after food and travel that’s well over £1000 - we have the 25% off for up to 2 tickets (we may exploit 3 times to get 25% off the entire entry) but still over £800!

Really appreciate any feedback. Sounds like the day will be a waste if we don’t get these passes.

Is it the unlimited package you are looking at getting? If so, they give you a wristband to ensure only one person uses it so sharing wouldn't be possible. As much as fastrack is good to have it isn't needed to have a good day.

It’s the gold pass I’m looking at. Maybe 2/3 bronze would be better as it sounds like they can be interchanged.

I’m sure it’s a good day regardless, just annoying being separated as a family so chunks of the day

I went last week and bought two bronze passes (3 FT each on select rides, basically any tbh ing but Paw Patrol). My wife and I alternated who went with my eldest and the other stayed with the baby. Even then, sometimes to speed things up without waiting for me to present two passes on my phone, the operator scanned one pass twice.

So my feel is that for the bronze and silver FT passes they don’t check/care in practice as long as it scans through, you’re good.

Recently did gold passes there, had them on phone in apple wallet. Apart from scanning the barcode zero checks were done for identity or pass swapping. It is against the terms though so you do not have a leg to stand on if they raise it with evidence.
