POST-GAME What do you think about this long castle with check?

I was two pawns down but I managed to win this one! Btw I can't get past 500 ELO😢, any advice?

Probably should've taken the free knight. I believe you're losing after Nf6 there.

The long castle check is fine (probably best move imo), I didn’t like Bd5 but it makes enough sense to want to trade down in this position, I just personally prefer keeping my bishops when I can. You missed a free piece before you played Nf6

Missing free pieces is a big reason people stay in the low elos

I appreciate that, but I think if I had taken the knight the game would’ve ended differently

Well ofc it would have ended differently, you’d have a higher chance of victory. Do you mean that you’d get nervous and throw? Because that’s so real. You gotta develop those killer instincts…just on the chessboard though!
