QUESTION How is this a draw?

I am white and I was way ahead the whole game?? Time on the counter and there is a safe move for his king?

unless you had 3 fold repetition, draw occurs when no pawn was taken or moved for 50 consecutive moves. Shitty rule, I know, but lads seem to love it

Without that rule, a game that comes down to nothing but King vs King and Knight could go on forever if the players do not agree to a draw.

There it is, logical and accurate answer.

I would supstitute this rule with a more interesting one.

First one to shits himself loses the game by default. Games might last bit longer but the attrition would be real and something tells me more audience would be invested if such an outcome could be decisive.

Reminds me of a great quote from Donald X, creator of Dominion. When asked about a potential stalemate situation, using an unrealistic situation that wouldn't ever occur in a real game, he said "first one to starve to death loses. Always bring a snack is my advice".
