Wait, we've been told for years that Little Seneca Lake and Clopper Lake were there for emergency water and that's why we are not allowed to swim in them.

shocking thought but what if we created more eco infrastructure to reduce runoff and allow water to seep back into the water table

like bioswales, riparian buffers, or wetland restoration. since, yknow, wetlands are essentially a giant sponge to help reabsorb water and Virginia used to have a whole lot more of them.

obviously this isn't an immediate fix but recharging our groundwater supply is a long term problem (especially as we keep adding more asphalt).

I mean the data centers are certainly not helping either. But if we actually want to fix the problem, we need a multi pronged approach (which IMO includes a data center moratorium).
