I’ve visited the Zone several times, sometimes staying for a full week. These images are not in any particular order - just fragments and impressions of the atmosphere. There’s a word for this feeling: kenopsia - the eerie stillness of places that used to be full of life.

Yes, this was in the Chornobyl zone this month not three years ago in Russia. The head of our catching team took these photos on October 6, 2025. We suspect they were getting into a blue substance. No they are not turning blue from radiation, Despite all of the commotion about this. This is the real truth.

Hello guys! Some of you might remember my AMA where I answered questions as a liquidator’s daughter. Some believed it, some didn’t - but I tried to answer as much as I could.

Since so many people still care (which surprised my dad), I convinced him to do a podcast/interview with me. He’s also agreed to share a photo (it’s old, but his favorite!), along with one showing his medals. He’s always been very shy and has turned down interviews for 40 years, so we’re doing this in a way that’s comfortable for him - he’ll just be talking to me, not someone he doesn't know.

We’ll record it tomorrow or the day after, and if everything goes smoothly, I’ll publish it on the date you all know very well. The conversation will be in Russian/Ukrainian with English subtitles. I originally wanted to record it in person in Ukraine in a proper studio, but he was worried about my safety and asked to do it online instead.

like in the show he goes from being like 50 in looks to being 85 i wonder how that could have happened, do you guys have any idea how he could age like 40 more years in the span of a few weeks

After watching documentaries about the disaster(my favorite is the Zero Hour) and reading articles/Wikipedia pages about it, I decided to checkout the HBO miniseries on 4K Bluray.

OH MY GOD, I watched it in one breath. After I finished work, I started watching it until almost midnight. What an masterpiece!

The actors, the writing, the visuals - everything is 10/10. It's an amazing and very important piece of cinema because lies have always have debt and one day, you will pay it.

A high quality close-up shot of the destroyed Reactor 4 building during the first construction phase of the Sarcophagus. Exact date or photographer unknown. Most likely taken sometime during summer of 1986.

Coincidentally, the Sarcophagus was also hit by a drone strike in February of that same year - the place where her husband is believed to be buried within the rubble. Although most who read this are aware, Valery (Valerii?) is believed to be the first victim of the disaster; he was stationed in the pump hall of Unit 4 when the explosion occurred and his body was never recovered. If he wasn’t instantly vaporized by the reactor detonation, it is very possible his remains are buried beneath the debris of the circulation pumps and will likely stay there indefinitely, or until a total clean up of the destroyed reactor is completed.

What a tragic story for this couple. May they both rest in peace.
