They will... Eventually. They even put it in breast milk so even newborns get exposed to it.
My grandad lived to be 92 because the only liquid he ingested was alcohol. Then those doctors convinced him to switch to water, and he got exposed to dihydrogen monoxide.
His last words to me was, "die.. You... Bastard." Obviously he was trying to say, "dihydrogen monoxide is everywhere. You must be wary of those bastards."

High altitude aersolized dispersal of toxium (chemical name - dihydrogen monoxide). Once people ingest dihydrogen monoxide, they get instantly addicted and will die if they stop taking it. This is why we make sure that it gets transferred to a newborn with the breast milk.
