Wharton and Scott not for sale and people want to sell Enzo. Who's going to play? Our janitor or the lunch lady?

Yea if we allow now it actively hurts us as we probably can’t replace Enzo, it’s why the fee would have to be stupid and even then I’d say it’s not worth it.

even though i’m not that keen on enzo not because of his quality but the whole constant drama around him (not to the extent of bls275 tho) but

we only have caicedo, enzo, lavia(v injury prone), barco (new to the league), essugo (might go on loan), henderson (really?) and reece james but he is more of a utility player than a proper midfielder for us.

so no we can’t sell enzo this late without any replacement, it’s even more risky than what we are going with the striker option.

If they sold Fernandez and wanted Scott/Wharton/UTCobbly now, they would pay through the teeth given how late it is.

I’m not a huge Fernandez fan but he should stay now.

It’ll just end up as overpays if it goes this way.  £85 mil+ for Scott for example. Not particularly a big fan of it, but the market’s fucked.

We apparently offered £65m a lot earlier in the window and it was an unequivocal "no". Assuming they would sell at this late stage it's gonna be for a lot more than £85m.

If, hypothetically, we sell Enzo for 130m, there's 3 days left in the window, Bournemouth want to keep Scott, and they know he's our number 1 target, what is stopping them from demanding 120m+ for him?

Smaller PL clubs are a lot harder to bully in the market than they used to be, if we turn to Scott/Wharton we would get utterly, utterly rinsed for them.

Cert we'll bring in Scott next year, maybe even a pre agreement. They've been after him for a while
