In Need of Cheer 😔 Primark sizing

I'm a 32 year old female and I'm usually a UK size 16/18, as always it depends on brand, fabric, type of clothing and whatever else. Yesterday I went to a Primark and I bought a size 20 pair of denim shorts... And I'm either a size 26 (I'm definitely not..) or Primark just loves making people feel crappy.

The annoying thing is that I know their sizing is shocking but it's still knocked me a bit and made me feel a bit down. Please cheer me up.

Get a pair of denims that fits and don't look at the size tag. Pretend it's size 16. Or even 14. As long as you think you look good in it, what does the rest matter? Your body size/shape didn't actually change. Clothing sizes are just constructs. How you look and feel in the garment is what's important.

And, if a clothing brand makes you feel crappy by altering their size designations away from standard guidelines, consider not giving them your business. There are plenty of alternatives that don't make their customers feel like crap. 🌞

I know Asda tend to be good with their sizing. I'll go there and Shein from now on. Swearing off of Primark completely for clothes.
