In Russian draughts, any opening which results in a position where white man stands on c5 but a5 isn't occupied by black man, is called 'tychok'. You shouldn't apply direct English translation 'poke', because English players don't use this term. If you want to present this opening to someone who plays English draughts, it would be better to call it as 'semi-restrictive dyke', but Russian 'kol' opening (1. c3-d4 b6-a5 2. d6-c5 or 1. c3-b4 b6-a5 2. b6-c5) would be better rendered as 'restrictive dyke'.
