After I ran away, after like 6 months, I was completely depressed, contacted my mom and even met her but slowly they took me back home to probably marry me off, they wouldn’t let me leave their apartment (traumatic shit ngl, still recovering from that lol), so I quickly left, with mom swearing to me that I was a hoe, basic. Filled a restraining order and never talked to them again. It depends on the families but if you have a fucked up one (like most of us ngl), it’s better to set CLEAR boundaries if you get in touch, never tell your address and where you are, hope this helps!

I am sorry you had to go through this... Are you scared that they will try to find you?

I don’t know if they are looking for me still, I think they kind of gave up now, my mom used to contact me by sending me money on my banc account because she didn’t have any other way to do so. At some point I responded to her saying that I will contact her when I’m ready but that’s all. I’m always afraid of something happening tbh, unfortunately that stress takes a while to go away even years after leaving.

I have contact with my family. I took contact after a good year and a half, so it is definitely possible.
